Want to see a crisp D series to end the half!

Not crisp. But good enough I suppose.

Uhhhh, not crisp, but fixable. Obviously NCU is going to try and work the matchups with Cheeks against the D backfield, and will also work the QB run game. We should be able to “clean that up” at half.
Offensively I’m mixed. Some of those passes were not good, and the run game is not gashing. But, obviously we’re in control and Tommy puts a ton of pressure on the D when he runs. I’d still like to see us move him out of the pocket for passes.

Passing game is better than what I’m use to, so I’ll take that. The running game is making my scratch my head a bit. Are team selling out this hard to stuff the run, are we not as dominate in the run as he thought? I think some of this will change as we continue to get our guys back into their starting spots on offense.

I’m a bit concerned with our running game the last two weeks.

It's tough to run with 8 in the box, but it's opening everything else up.

I agree that once into Conference our run game has not been creating as much push as we were seeing earlier. Today we’re trying to stretch the field and run wide because of that lack of push. Going with some misdirection and some option runs to the edge with Tommy would be on my list of things to do in the 2nd half. Pull some of that pressure out of the box.

And again, move Tommy when throwing.

I’m concerned about the highly inept pass attack!

Watching the run a little closely. They are putting every able body defender down there to stop it. It’s not that the holes aren’t there. It’s just hard to make them open up when it’s waves of defenders selling out to stop it.

Maybe Taco will start putting the ball on the right side when he runs.

Camera operator bit on that reverse harder than the defense.

I’m not sure what the week of practice looks like for the DB’s, but it needs to be completely tweaked. I’m not feeling good about our D backfield.

My TV is all jacked up. Are we still playing 1’s on D?

Nice TD, but 55 needs to be careful, he was about 5 yards down field when Tommy threw the ball.

Maybe, keep the 1’s and 2’s in… They need the extra work! I only partially kid.

Gosh. The running game is hard to watch.

When was the last time MSU had more passing yards than rushing yards in a game?

There is a big drop off from the 1’s…who are themselves having a nice year so far, but are very leaky against the passing game on slants and their tackling is uuuuufffff! Way too many shoulders and heads not enough arms and bodies.
