How many games with the kicking game cost us this year
None. It’ll get cleaned up.
Didn't really get cleaned up from last year...

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

Leave the field goal unit on the sideline... better off just going for it

Utah Tech and only 33 yards and zero 1st downs…and we only have 14 points. This doesn’t bode well. These Cats are way underperforming on the field tonight. The game is in hand…but it tastes bad because we’re not really sharp except in the run game.

Just a sloppy game, my God.
Agreed. The offense just can’t find their rhythm.
They can when they just line up and run the ball. Utah Tech can't stop it yet we insist on trying other stuff. Maybe that helps for later in the season but it looks ugly at times tonight.

We had 2 timeouts to work with. No reason to have tried throwing that there. They cannot stop the run. It is absolutely bull-headed for Tyler Walker to be calling drop back passing at the moment.
Why? Great game and situation to work on the pass game.

This isn't a serious post is it? We have over 200 yards rushing.
They're getting owned in the pass protection

Will be nice to get some of our o-line back to healthy. Tonight’s game is not the first half blowout I’d like to see to get our 2’s in. A fire under their ass would be nice.

I know we weren't supposed to complain about this, but WTF with some of the offensive playcalling?

I would say Cole Sain is not having his best night pass blocking. Young tackles also giving up a little pressure. Overall, a B- performamce thus far as we have 230 yards rushing.

They talked about wanting to get more guys in the game tonight to get them experience. It takes points being scored and a lead to be able to get to that point.

Is that due to us or them? Or an 8pm kickoff and a full, hot day to lose steam?

And every time Tommy throws he is getting hit. The running backs have gotten those yards. O-line isn’t playing up to their potential. 2nd half will be a different story I hope.

We should raise $1M and buy a kicker!

It’s hard to win on the road. The defense is dominating. And that’s how you win on the road.

Well, we're up 14-0 and they haven't had a 1st down. Perhaps the coaches feel that's enough?

Fluke plays happen all the time. 14-7 is a blown assignment away. I love our defense but we aren't last year's Iowa defense. Very few teams are. Pedal to the metal until the game is comfortable and fluke plays don't matter.

He also has zero pocket presence. Doesn't climb the pocket when guys get past him, and acts like he has blinders on when guys get past the O line. Pass pro isn't great, it was great last year either, but they aren't getting owned and Tommy needs to be better.
