Wow! I had remembered turf and the endzone as the same project.

Damn what a difference from when I was in school. And that wasn't even that long ago.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

From this photo (bottom left-hand corner), it looks like they also resurfaced, striped, and numbered the fieldhouse lot across Kagy???
No resurfacing, but they did repaint the stripes and numbers in the fieldhouse lot. No changes, just repainting.

What's with the large area of non parking area in front of the BAC? I'm sure there's a good reason. Just curious.

Just guessing, but perhaps it's a designated area for plowing snow into.

Hey, there’s actually a camera on the construction of the IPF - kind of. At least for now.

If you look closely, you can also see the indoor construction on the airport weather cam, in the gap between the Field House and Roskie.

Bobcat football teams have been practicing outdoors in bad weather for over a century and now we're worried about them needing to walk outside around the stadium from the football building to the Indoor Practice Facility? Times have most definitely changed.
I get what you’re saying but I’m wired to think that if you’re going to do something maximize the effect. I’d rather not need to use stairs to get across Kagy and the shorter and safer the trip from dressing room to practice site the better.
Fair point. I guess my personal opinion would be that doing anything to improve the safety hazard that is the east side grandstands when it's snowy/icy out would be a much better use of money than giving the football team an indoor tunnel for a 2-minute walk.
As someone who has fallen more than once, I totally agree. At least the players are on level ground.

Stevo hacked into the DoD MILSAT system and changed the orbit of a recon bird to get us these shots. Our national security was only impacted for a short time, but it was worth it to get us these images. Great pics as usual.

Looks like the steel is ready to go up on the indoor.

I don’t know how often google maps satellite shots are updated, but they’re currently only a month or so behind over the stadium.

That's interesting you say that, because I was about to say I just went to google maps and it was an image from at least 10 years ago. I can see grass in the tailgate fields, the old playing surface, and no BAC. Not sure why mine is showing such an old image, but if you get to see that one you can see how far the facility has come...and how big of a difference this paving makes.

Thanks for keeping us updated with the photos ! It’s most appreciated. Can’t figure out what those long white lines are in the lot. Does not appear to be a raised median.

That east lot looks substantially bigger than before. That grass area and the area with the flags outside of the student entrance is all parking lot now. Probably not a bad thing. Looks like they gained quite a few spaces doing that.
