Taylee Chirrick WBB commit -2024
Posted on her Instagram account that I don’t know how to link.
Hot diggity damn this is great news! A 5-11 three-sport stud from Montana. She has many accolades as a freshman & sophomore while she was at Billings West. Also, many accolades in the AAU basketball circuit. Transferred to Roberts at the beginning of her junior basketball season and stuffed the stat sheet while leading Roberts to their first ever (I believe) state tournament appearance. Set the class C state track records while winning the 300h, 400m, and 800M (also 2nd place in the 200m). That should tell you about the athleticism & mental toughness she has. Yes, I love this commitment!
Edit: Also she is part of the all class state record in 4 x 100 relay when she was a sophomore at West.

Bobcat athletics is a business to the coaches, school leadership, and players. It's time the fans treat Bobcat athletics as a business too.

I get it that women's basketball just doesn't attract the buzz that football does. But I am super excited about this one, and wish more 'Cat fans were. This young lady's commitment was published in the Billings Gazette today and according to the article Taylee was recruited by Arizona and Boise State among others. She is going to be a very, very good Bobcat.

Count me as very, very, very excited. It’s been a long time since we’ve been able to keep top in-state players. It’s a measure of the quality and desirability of the program that Coach Bin is making a breakthrough. What parent wouldn’t feel a bit happy that their daughter was choosing such a first-class program with a chance to be part of a rising team? I think the new assistant coaches have made the program stronger. Count me, and my wife, as very pleased.84CatGrad wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2023 5:11 pmI get it that women's basketball just doesn't attract the buzz that football does. Not only is Chirrick considering running track for the Cats, but the scuttlebutt is Vigen has reached out to Binford about the possibility of Taylee trying out for the football team next year. She has strong safety traits galore!

She could do it no doubt but let's funnel all her energy into hoops.
