Jaqari Miles Commits
Figured this deserved it's own thread, Jaqari Miles committed out of West Ranch high school, Valencia, CA. 6'2 PG but not sure what he projects here.

Re: Jaqari Miles Commits
Seems like he was on a pretty good squad, having a hard time find any stats though. I think they were ranked in the top 25 nationally at one point.

Re: Jaqari Miles Commits
This is a big time get. His high school team was ranked in the top 25 nationally by ESPN. He was regularly recognized to all tournament teams at various national high school tournaments. Two of his teammates that were recognized with him have committed to Syracuse and Boise State respectively. He looks really good.

According to that article his team was ranked #11 in January. I feel like he seems to have a good upside.. but it's just a feeling

His junior year stats are available, but I haven't located his senior year numbers. Averaged 16.5 ppg and 3.3 apg as a junior. His shooting percentages were a little low 41, 32(3s), 67(FTs), but I'd expect he's improved on those numbers at least a little bit.

Man, what is this team going to look like. Take the three, follow your shot and run them out of the Brick! Florida Gulf Coast offense, defense and fundamentals? Pretty impressive recruiting this year.

Re: Jaqari Miles Commits
Are the 3 shooters good enough to do that? Seems like you’d need 3 40%+ guys and a couple 35%+ guys to pull that off. I’d love to see it.

Re: Jaqari Miles Commits
With the new philosophy, some of our existing players may blossom into much better shooters. The old coaching axiom: "a coach can't give a player confidence but he can certainly take it away" may give us some boost in performance.
While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."

Re: Jaqari Miles Commits
That's a good question and I'll just add a quick point: this style will probably fit Patterson quite nicely. Perhaps we see him find his groove under Logie. I can see him becoming a counter in your question.

Thanks for posting! I think it's going to be really special watching these young men in Coach Logie's system!msu_agfan wrote: ↑Sat Jun 03, 2023 10:07 amNice write up. Welcome to the Bobcats!!
