Not surprised at all. I also wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t start there either.

Martinez is correct, and he has not yet signed with a new school. He has offers from Louisiana Tech, Incarnate Word, and Weber.

I don't believe so. Weber's backup QB entered the portal but then decided to stay, maybe that's what you are thinking of.RickRund wrote: ↑Sat Jan 07, 2023 4:18 pmThought he signed on with Weebs.

Re: Britt to NAU
Sorry about the name mixup. This QB carrousel is pretty interesting. Clearly not about big cash payments, but guys trying to find the right fit of coaching, style of play and location. It’s like there are two tiers in the portal of hope — moving up, or simply moving. I wish Daniel Britt the best as I think he saw the light (or darkness) over the hill. Cataholic, why don’t you think he has a chance to be QB1 at NAU? They have another QB, or just not good enough in general?MSU01 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 07, 2023 5:08 pmI don't believe so. Re: Britt to NAU
I might be in the minority, but I really didn’t see enough of him to be excited about. His game reps were against mostly second string or when the game was already decided. He was behind Kris Brown all year and I can assure you the Griz would play the most talented player. Griz faithful wanted a change, but that was because Brown was so bad, not because Britt was so good. And he was really small. He is not a prototype size QB and his running style will eventually lead to an injury.Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Sat Jan 07, 2023 5:39 pmSorry about the name mixup. This QB carrousel is pretty interesting. The other reason is just a hunch, but NAU has always been successful getting good QBs. They play indoors and are near the football prospect rich areas of California, Phoenix and Tucson. Phoenix is the 10th largest metro area in the US and Arizona only has three D1 football programs. Lots of prospects.

Why would Ifanse stay in this conference? He's leaving the best team in the BSC where he was the #1 back. Anything in conference seems like a big step down

I agree, it's highly unlikely. Just saying, I'd hate to see it.

Re: Britt to NAU
Interesting situation for Britt, as NAU just got a 3 star/4 star (depending on site) drop down out of Cal. Not sure getting the starting job is any easier there. Griz just landed Vidlak from Boise St who was once a Griz commit before getting scooped by Oregon St. That shores up some things for the QB room for sure.

That Vidlak guy is amazing!! What a get!! Absolutely tore it up at Oregon State and Boise!! Took 12 snaps total at OSU. Passed for 86 yards in Boise career! That UM QB room must have been really bad to say he shores it up!HookedOnGriz wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 7:38 pmInteresting situation for Britt, as NAU just got a 3 star/4 star (depending on site) drop down out of Cal. Yes because him not playing much as a true freshman at OSU (a team that made you guys look like TCU vs Georgia) and as a RS Freshman at Boise St (who was 10-4) is indicative of how he will play as a Griz. Even you are smarter than this….well that is always a stretch. You must have really hated getting Chambers then as his WY stats were off the chartsCataholic wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 11:40 pmThat Vidlak guy is amazing!! What a get!! I agree with your point, except the part about Chambers... Stats or not, Chambers was a starter at Wyoming, not some unknown bench-riding freshman with only garbage time stats.HookedOnGriz wrote: ↑Tue Jan 10, 2023 8:31 amYes because him not playing much as a true freshman at OSU (a team that made you guys look like TCU vs Georgia) and as a RS Freshman at Boise St (who was 10-4) is indicative of how he will play as a Griz. Vidlak might be the next Dave Dickenson or the next Kris Brown... or something in between. We'll see.

Re: Britt to NAU
You are comparing Vidlak’s Boise and OSU stats to Chambers at Wyoming? How many starts did Vidlak make? Um, zero??? You really are a moron.HookedOnGriz wrote: ↑Tue Jan 10, 2023 8:31 amYes because him not playing much as a true freshman at OSU (a team that made you guys look like TCU vs Georgia) and as a RS Freshman at Boise St (who was 10-4) is indicative of how he will play as a Griz.
