The Montana Football Hour 2019

Post by Colter_Nuanez » Tue Jul 23, 2019 4:24 pm

For the second year in a row, the first hour of Tootell and Nuanez every Monday will be dedicated to football around the state of Montana, particularly focusing on the Bobcats and the Grizzlies. I will post that content here.

Our broadcast from the Big Sky Kickoff in Spokane:

Yesterday, Tootell was out but Anthony Nachreiner joined me to talk about the Montana East-West Shrine game plus a discussion about number controversies, Dante Olson on the Buck Buchanan and Butkus Award lists and an interview from the Big Sky Kickoff with Montana State head coach Jeff Choate.

Colter,

I like listening to these during my lunch break somedays. It's well researched and collaborated. I'm a huge fan! The whole program is very good!

Is there anyway to listen to this without downloading the app for Spotify?

You can listen on iTunes or Podcasts whatever they call it now.

A website would be here - http://1029espn.com/podcasts/

If you have cable and have a DVR, their show is simulcast on SWX. May even be available on the SWX app, haven't checked. Of course, this would be streaming video and use far more data than a podcast...

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

Which episodes this week do you talk about the Bobcats? I know you guys are swamped all the time. But, in the podcasts descriptions it would be awesome if you put the times where you start talking about various topics. I believe you used to do that. For example:

Coach Choate: 5:32

Coach Hauck: 13:21

Troy Anderson: 35:33

Does that make sense and is that possible to do? Thank you.

Colter does that for the Big Sky breakdown, but not for the podcast version of the ESPN show. They'd have to get their producer/editor to do that I suspect, but yes it would be helpful.

You can find both hours of the Montana Football Hour here. We did a full two hours, including about an hour and 15 minutes about the Bobcats today. What a fascinating subject to talk about.

Thanks. Very worthwhile and mostly spot on. I do believe we have a plus one type qb on roster that hasn’t been given a shot but agree that Jonsens options have not been fully exercised.
Defense may have played well Saturday but needs to get its fire back.
The southern Utah game is going to be a big decision making game for the rest of the season. Choate needs get it figured out

Not super interesting anyway, it's mostly Colter whining about how the Griz should always dominate and coming up with excuses why they don't. Literally zero Cat content other than saying the griz have a better shot than we do against NDSU, even though the griz D sucks balls and we own them.

Not sure how you call it Montana football hour and not talk about the team still playing. You forget who pays your bills, you should talk about the most popular/best team in Montana, not the one that's a dumpster fire after a winning season. Entitled, spoiled fans... its really a bad look for you guys. Buck up, and look forward to next year like we did for YEARS.

I use the ESPN link from a few episodes ago. It worked fine. Personally I liked what they had to say.

Wow, kinda harsh! I haven’t listened yet either, I always listen to the podcast the next day. I actually love the show, I haven’t missed an episode in over a month! I think the guys do an awesome job covering both teams! Yes, at times you can pick up on a little bit of grizz bias. Yes, colter does have significant ties to Hauck and the grizz, but does an awesome job of keeping the coverage even and fair! ( I do hate all the Hauck praise they put out, but I am also a cat fan!)The show is based in Missoula, so I figure that there will be some hometown flavor at times. I love the coverage they give all Montana football fans from the high school ranks to the cats and grizz! Keep up the great work guys!
