The one thing that would drive me crazy about Denarius was while he could run, he would pass up easy 1st downs with his legs trying to keep the pass play alive.Long Time Cat wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2019 2:07 pmI think it’s sage to say TA would have run it in that situation.RobertCats wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2019 9:04 amvike_king wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2019 8:23 amHmm, aren't there only a few yards left available for longest pass playl? Re: Bold Predictions
Yes, but how many times did that patience/vision lead to a big play? I'll never forget his first game against Wazzu when he rolled out of the pocket on play action, went through his progressions, bought time and then threw back across the field on a rope to an open receiver, and I thought "wow, we haven't had a QB that could do THAT in a LONG time!"allcat wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2019 2:22 pmThe one thing that would drive me crazy about Denarius was while he could run, he would pass up easy 1st downs with his legs trying to keep the pass play alive.Long Time Cat wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2019 2:07 pmI think it’s sage to say TA would have run it in that situation.RobertCats wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2019 9:04 amvike_king wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2019 8:23 amHmm, aren't there only a few yards left available for longest pass playl? Karl Mecklenburg, ferocious linebacker for the Broncos, often played up to 7 different positions in the same game. I predict that Troy Andersen will play more than different positions in at least 3 games this year.

Although linebacker was listed as his primary role, Mecklenburg said he was a pioneer on defense, playing as many as seven positions, all three linebacker slots and all four front line spots, in the same game.

Re: Bold Predictions
Equally bold here is your prediction that MSU will end its season after winning its Playoff semifinal game!

Fixed.
I tried to recall from memory how many playoff games a team plays when they earn a first round bye and I remembered wrong.

Re: Bold Predictions
I thought I would get razed for calling 15-1 undefeated and not my poor memory and bad math.

Re: Bold Predictions
That's a really good one, and honestly I'm not even sure how bold it is. Looking at the schedule I'm pretty sure we'll be favored on our first 6 leagues games. So if we don't shoot ourselves we probably should be 6-0 heading into UCD. Of course that's easier said than done but we'll see. So if that holds and if we aren't 1-3 in the OOC games we'll absolutely be in the discussion for a first round bye.Darth Yoda wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2019 12:31 pmWe are 6-0 heading into Davis and in the conversation for a first round bye.

Thought I'd bump this....if the Cats had taken care of business in Grand Forks this would be for all the marbles.Catfanatic84 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2019 6:53 amI'll predict that Cat/Griz will be for the conference championship.

Well in a sense it is. If Dumb wins, they get a share. When they lose, they are out of the share.Catfanatic84 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 8:10 pmThought I'd bump this....if the Cats had taken care of business in Grand Forks this would be for all the marbles.Catfanatic84 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2019 6:53 amI'll predict that Cat/Griz will be for the conference championship.
