A cursory google search reveals the following info

3-star prospect out of HS.

6'2" on Arizona's roster and 6'3"-6'4" on recruiting sites.

Caught one pass for 17 yards at Arizona.

Dismissed for an unspecified violation of team rules.

Has 4 years to play 4.

O would think as soon as possible. He has already used his RS year. He can play right now.

Amidst myriad reports, the football program confirmed Monday that Thomas Marcus Jr. has been dismissed from Kevin Sumlin‘s squad. The only reason given was unspecified violations of team rules.

Marcus was a three-star member of the Wildcats’ 2018 recruiting class. According to his recruiting profile on 247Sports.com, the wide receiver’s only other FBS offer came from Utah State.

In three games as a true freshman this past season, Marcus caught one pass for 17 yards. That lone reception came in the late-October upset of then-No. 19 Oregon.

Because he played in less than four games, the California native was able to take a redshirt for the 2018 season.

This kid definitely has some skills, but after watching his hudl video I almost think he could end up with more yards in penalties then yards receiving. Hope the coaches can keep him in check because he could be very good.

We can hope that his dismissal was a wakeup call.

If he’s going to be a receiver only, then I would think it shouldn’t be a concern. He’s definitely got some Tanner Bleskin hands.

I think this could also mean that Jabarri is a no go for the season, too. A player addition for violation of team rules makes their arrival always a bit cloudy. I agree with what was said that, hopefully this is a wake up call and there aren’t any future violations.

So I am curious. Has the question been definitively answered? Is he eligible RIGHT NOW? When will he be eligible?

As a FBS player dropping down to FCS, he is available immediately. Only thing that could hang it up are credits transferring or meeting academic standards at MSU.

Choate said a few days ago it's pretty doubtful that JJ will be able to play at all this year.

Played both quarterback and WR in high school. Scored 9 TDs on just 23 catches and also ran for 9 TDs as a senior. Averaged 9.4 per carry, 20.2 per catch. Played a lot more at QB his junior year. Went 70-116-6, 1,269, 19 TDs. Also played DB (4 int) and punted occasionally.

Anyone else hear anything about this guy?

I may have missed it, but I haven’t heard a word here lately.
