Does that mean the national championships the cats won in those years don't coun't?

Actually we beat teams in our same classification to win those national championships. It's a little different than beating an NAIA team when you are Division 1.

Funny how a school that had a strong push to eliminate football in the late 70's and early 80's can be so arrogant. Without Denny Washington's assistance, there could have been only one D1 team in the state today, and that wouldn't be in Missoula.

Well we certainly did not have any trouble smuggling in liquor last week, as security was more concerned with explosives coming into the venue. I hope you guys don't have to be greeted by assault rifles and metal detectors for your game today.

I am glad someone else recognizes the fact that the griz were preparing to take a vote to eliminate their program back in the 70s. True.
