Cal Poly vs. UM

Post by BozoneCat » Sat Nov 26, 2005 2:07 pm

Cal Poly sucks right now. They have done everything in their power to hand the game to the friz so far. We'd kill the Mustangs if we played them again. I can't believe that a defense that has such awesome numbers can't stack the box and tackle Lex Hilliard like every other team has done to them recently - even bottom-feeders Suck State and NAU. Their QB is terrible throwing the ball, which is making their offense completely one-dimensional.

Damn, I wish we were playing right now.

I agree whole-heartedly with that statement. Our problem when we faced CP was our utter lack of a running game. I can only hope that next year we aren't one dimensional like we were for most of this year.

I disagree; Poly is really starting to "click" against the Griz right now; I believe Poly could go all the way.

With a banged up Travis Lulay, I think we'd have had our hands full if we were playing CP today...

Poly took the 2nd half kick and just SHOVED it down the vaunted Grizzly defense's throat.

If Griz don't get at least 2 TO's in this half, it's over. Poly moves on & the Griz finish 8-5 in their last 13 games.

BTW, those "classy" griz fans were very noticably BOOING just now when Bergquist suffered his 5th or 6th sack of the game.

Looks like the field conditions were just too good for the Griz today.

I still think we take Cal Poly, especially up here in Montana.

As to the game, could you believe how the sun kept shifting directions and getting right in the eyes of the grizzly receivers on every play?!?! I've never seen that before!

I was only able to see the last 3 minutes on TV. But I did get back in time to hear the griz announcers comment after CP got the ball back with a couple minutes left and the sun came out(after 10 days with no sunshine in Missoula), that this was the opposite of poetic justice that the sun was shining when the griz season was dieing. I thought it was rather appropiate myself!

They always claim that God is a griz fan; I think those rays were proof otherwise...

Now Cal Poly has to travel to the other Bobcat Stadium. Hopefully some of you caught the Texas State game on ESPN 2. It was great to be in the stands this afternoon and evening. I hope you Montana State Bobcats will root for our Texas State Bobcats to beat Poly next week

The cats couldn't beat cal poly if they spotted you 21 points.

Unfortunately we couldn't beat then this weekend either.

Puhleaze  ...The Mustangs have been taking it to MSU for the past few years. With Anthony Garnett out the Mustangs are less of a passing team, but they still run the option very well. Option offense + Flex defense = MSU loss. Too bad MSU is taking a break from playing Cal Poly. I look forward to when Cal Poly has MSU on their schedule again!

Hey Stang, i'll bet you're pissed that UM bought out that home game last year with the Griz. If the Griz had played in SLO, you would have woon, and gone to the playoffs for certain. As Hauck says, never play when you can duck!

Wolfie, where did you pick up your ability to know the outcome to games that were never played?

We (MSU fans) hope to never play Cal Poly again. I am not superstitious but talk about having our number!
