How Stitt is an offensive genius, how he's good buddies with Somny Dykes and Dana Holgerson, 90 plays = wins, #stitthappens, how Stitt loves Las Vegas, how Stitt invented the forward pass, how many Super Bowls Stitt will win, how Stitt will solve global warming by the end of the season, how Stitt created a living organism out of inorganic matter, etc. etc.lutecat wrote:What did they talk about?PapaG wrote:I was just driving to a meeting, turned on Jim Rome, and I hear "joining me now is Montana coach Bob Stitt."

He sounds like the perfect guy to play the "role" of head coach at UM.PapaG wrote:How Stitt is an offensive genius, how he's good buddies with Somny Dykes and Dana Holgerson, 90 plays = wins, #stitthappens, how Stitt loves Las Vegas, how Stitt invented the forward pass, how many Super Bowls Stitt will win, how Stitt will solve global warming by the end of the season, how Stitt created a living organism out of inorganic matter, etc. etc.lutecat wrote:What did they talk about?PapaG wrote:I was just driving to a meeting, turned on Jim Rome, and I hear "joining me now is Montana coach Bob Stitt."

Kind of reminds me of several years back after we beat Colorado. Remember that? Everyone was on top of the world, Kramer was doing another interview with some other outfit every time you turned around, etc. Then we had the mother of all letdown games against Woodhead State.PapaG wrote:How Stitt is an offensive genius, how he's good buddies with Somny Dykes and Dana Holgerson, 90 plays = wins, #stitthappens, how Stitt loves Las Vegas, how Stitt invented the forward pass, how many Super Bowls Stitt will win, how Stitt will solve global warming by the end of the season, how Stitt created a living organism out of inorganic matter, etc. etc.lutecat wrote:What did they talk about?PapaG wrote:I was just driving to a meeting, turned on Jim Rome, and I hear "joining me now is Montana coach Bob Stitt."

One game and you guys are already as obsessed with Stitt as you were with Hauck. You must sense that he's going to run train on the cats as badly as he did.

How can we not? He's the greatest coach in history, and is the only undefeated coach for an FCS career, so why wouldn't he be a hot topic?Htowngriz wrote:One game and you guys are already as obsessed with Stitt as you were with Hauck. Also, leave the rape/sexual references at your egriz cesspool, please. I would have thought Griz fans would be past that "humor" by now, but I guess not.

These guys know more about Stitt than Stitt's wife does!
No surprise, I guess, since cat_bracket purported on page 2 of this thread that he was told personally by Bobby Hauck, Joe Glenn, Mick Dennehy, Mike Kramer, Rob Ash, and Doug Graber that they all wanted to spend their careers in Missoula or Bozeman.

Yes, and have not all 810 posts (now 811) been about Montana in response to Cat fans who are discussing Montana? Up with Montana, boys!PapaG wrote:I listened to an interview. This is one way to learn more about Stitt.Griznationalist wrote:These guys know more about Stitt than Stitt's wife does!

I think they mentioned in the interview that Stitty likes to turn wine into urine....

The State of Montana is Bobcat country.
missoula....still just 20 miles from Montana.

Highlights from the interview:lutecat wrote:What did they talk about?PapaG wrote:I was just driving to a meeting, turned on Jim Rome, and I hear "joining me now is Montana coach Bob Stitt."
Rome interviewed him for 10 minutes.
Damn it.
1. Stitt wanted to change the final play (iso) but was talked out of it by one of his players
2. The win was an out-of-body experience; never experienced anything like it before in coaching
3. Various professional and college teams and coaches watched the NDSU game in their lockers and offices
4. Stitt is willing to share his plays with other coaches because he thinks all coaches should share their wisdom with others
5. His favorite buffet in Vegas is at Ceasars
6. A successful converted fourth down adds 6-7 plays to a drive, which increases scoring chance by 38%
7. He feels like a quiter when he sends out his punter
8. He's not worried about his offense functioning in cold winter weather
9. He loves football because it is the ultimate team game
10. He's pumped to finally have receivers that can knock the top off of the coverage
11. He jumped at the coaching opportunity at Montana because he could step into a top flight program that was already set up to win right away, rather than build a program

Re: How many years...
Your point is correct. I do care enough about MSU fans and your opinions to check out what's going on here. I have countless friends and family members who are Cat fans. And here's one that will surprise you -- I find Cat fans to be more knowledgeable and insightful about football than the average or typical Griz fan. Now the only question is, am I knowledgeable enough to be right about that??? Hmmmm.PapaG wrote:I have no idea about the content of your posts.
