Griz Whining
I know that some of you Cat fans read the egriz.com board on occasion. I just went over there and read some of the whining and excuse-making by Griz fans about the loss to the Cats. One "special" poster over there, named Grizzle, is predictably dusting off the tired spin stating that "the field conditions effected the Griz more than the Cats, and this is why we lost" excuse. Yes, it is indeed the same lame excuse used last year to explain why the Griz lost to James Madison in the NC game. Pathetic? Agreed.
I wanted to tell you that these ridiculous excuses given by a few Griz fans, obviously in a pertetual state of denial, are not those shared by the majority of Griz fans I know. Most Griz fans realize that we were beaten in all aspects of the game, by a better team. We will not make excuses. We will circle the wagons and come back next year to try to put the Cats back where they belong....defeated by the mighty Griz.
I have never liked excuse-makers. And, "fans" like Grizzle embarass the many classy Griz fans around the nation. If you visit that message board, and read this whining from Grizzle and his sheep followers, please do not think that it is the prevalent excuse among the majority of Griz fans.
GO GRIZ in 2006!

It did effect the Griz more you moron! It isn't an excuse, the field conditions were what they were. The Cats were able to adjust their play while the Griz staff continued to attempt to stick to an ill advised game plan. We were unable to establish any passing threat, we attempted to run outside, and our predictable offense became even more so. When you can fill the box, stop the run and force us to throw on 2nd and 3rd down we are not going to win the game.
Both teams play on the same field, but one team was able to use it to their advantage, while the other failed to do anything but accept defeat. I hate losing to the Cats, but we got beat in all aspects of the game on Saturday. However, the Griz were able to use field conditions to their advantage prior to the installation of the new field, and it is no different from the Cats had this week. I'm not crying foul over the conditons of the turf, as this was a natural course of events and nothing could be done about the conditions. You can't compare that to last year in that we were beating JMU and there was no reason for the field to come apart like it did and it altered the game.
I have nothing but praise for the Cat staff and players who were able to adapt and kick the butts of the Griz. I personally felt that the coaches preperation, or lact there of, is disgraceful. Not getting our players ready is a slap in the face of all players and the fans. You can say what you want about Kramer, but he had his team ready to win,. The same cannot be said of the Griz.
Should the Griz get past Cal Poly and GSU beat Texas State, I'd have a hose on the grass in Statesboro on the off chance that the game would be played there. I have no doubts GSU can play in the mud, but I would bet Bobby and Co wouldn't have the Griz ready to play.

Used to our advantage? How? Our strength all season has been a passing game and if anyone has ever played football in wet or muddy conditions, it's a task to pass the ball effectively as a QB, it's tough as a receiver to run your route effectively and worry about catching a ball.Born2BaGriz wrote:It did effect the Griz more you moron! The griz offense, when existent during the season, was powered almost exclusively by Lex's running game. On the same field, MSU's running game dominated the griz power running game and we haven't had a decent running game the entire season until the past couple of weeks.
Maybe I'm missing something in your post, but it was a roundabout whine session about how the field conditions contributed to the loss.
Are you grizzle from egriz?

Did the field affect those wobbly duck passes from your QB? EEEEK!Born2BaGriz wrote:It did effect the Griz more you moron! It isn't an excuse, the field conditions were what they were. All I know is that mud was really sticking to their backs more than it was the Bobcats. Does mud stick to white jersey's better than blue? Must be physics or something?Wolfman wrote:Need I say more, Cat fans? I never have to make some of the meatheads look bad......the can handle that task all too easily for themselves. You guys are so paranoid that you take a compliment as a slap in the face. How did you use it to your advantage? Well, you ran plays well suited for the conditions on the field. Your coaches adapted to the conditions as opposed to using it as an excuse. Your team was actually coached, and then the players went out and executed. On the other side of the coin, we failed to present any kind of offense, and got dominated at the line of scrimage.
Hey, I'm not stupid enough to say we would have won that game had the turf be in mid-summer shape because I'm confident the Cats would have been able to present an attack for good field conditions too.
Wolfy just loves coming over here to find people that agree with him. He has some valid points at times, but the message always gets lost be cause he is such a jerk.
And by the way, except for a few, I would venture to say I've played more football on a variety of fields then most of you.
My post was a compliment to the staff and players. The Griz got their a&# kicked all afternoon. The value of a good staff is being able to adjust when things change. Bobby is from Big Timber, he should have been prepared for less then ideal field conditions and devised a game plan may have limited some of the issues we had. However, we were ill-prepared and were defeated by a greater margin then the 16-6 score. The Cats rose to the occasion, and the Griz were left wallowing in the mud.

Go f_ck yourself, BornToBeALoser. I played football for the Griz. Where did you do your playing, LittleGriz?
If you are saying that the coaches did not call good "mud plays", then we are in agreement. We both know the coaches s_ck, as former players, eh Born toBe?
But, to say that mud was the reason the Griz lost, like you and your pathetic sugar coating whiners are saying, is a crock.
Call me a jerk to my face, if you have the gonads, Mr. Football.

Cut the small penis psycho crap, people (I'm looking at you, Wolfman, and no, you are not being unfairly singled out). Grow up or go away (voluntarily or otherwise).Wolfman wrote:Go f_ck yourself, BornToBeALoser. I played football for the Griz. Where did you do your playing, LittleGriz?

In 2002 was it the field conditions that helped the CATS on to victory? If memory serves, it was a sh!tty nasty day 3 years ago too.......... wait a second........three years ago would put the rotation in Missoula....... we beat um at um on their field with poor field conditions that day as well.

Wolf,
Wow, and you're the shining example of classy Griz fans right? Someone who insults, lies about conversations with players parents, and played for the Griz (cut from the practice squad, right?)
A great injustice has happened that should enrage cat fans though. Wolfman has come out of the closet on egriz, he's a cat fan. He's posting under his new screen name, CatmanDo, and he's cheering for the cats. Glad he's now on your side guys.
To address the real issues;
The mud affected both teams, if this year's brawl was played anywhere else I would expect the cats would've won by more points and a wider margin.
This Griz offense is the worst since the early 90's
The playcalling on offense is terrible, it has no orginality. The OC needs to be replaced.
Real Griz fans still love the Griz and cheer for them every weekend.
Thank you, and goodnight.

Wolfie, you are such a class act. At what point did I say the Griz would have won? I used words like dominated, a&% kicked. If you pull your head out you see my posts and realize that there is no excuses to be made. One team was prepared, the other wasn't and the better team on that day won.
In regards to where I played. Suffice to say I stomped the grounds of both Dorny and Washington/Griz. If you want to find me, PM me you little piece of fecal matter and I'll gladly darken the door of any establishment. And,unlike you, I will fill the door frame. And before you go off me being an fat ex-player suffice to say I'm 30 pounds lighter then what I played at back in the day. So you little coward, if you want to meet me you better pack a lunch because it will be a long day if you want to try kick my behind.
Wolfie, your a little man with anger issues. You have been banished from other boards because you are caustic and unreasonable. Keep up the threats and you'll have more to worry about then getting kicked off yet another board.

Born2be, if you want to find Wolfie, all you have to do is go to Willie Wanka's Chocolate factory. He works there.

I also don't give a flyin' f_ck about whether you believe I played for the Griz. Quit making up lies about me. Maybe i'll go house shopping in Missoula real soon.
And seriously, if you do go house shopping in Missoula, I know a few agents who you'd LOVE to work with, PM me, I'll send ya a list.
PS - You used to post on egriz, until you got booted.
