I think we abandon the run after a futile 1st quarter and Lulay throws for 350+ yards. If we can continue our new defensive success of bending but not breaking we win relatively easy this time. However, these are the Cats and nothing comes easy so I say:

Cats 32
Bengals 27

CB, I'll have you refer to Gato's post.....if you think you will have the same luxury (field position) with us you're smokin' something. Our D is not as suspect as EWU's either.

If Lewis attacks our safeties early again and they jump out ahead like a couple of years ago, the offensive shootout begins and and I sit there fussing and cussing because we aren't in a position to smash them in the mouth. If our secondary learns how to play a zone and we get a little lucky with a few drops by their big receivers, we roll bigtime. We can't give up the big post plays like Ioane got burned on last time.

But Kentucky (as bad as they are) would beat OSU in a football game.

ISU has beaten one decent opponent this year, at home. That game did not impress me.

You only had one scoring drive go over 38 yards.

You were outgained 425-301.

You turned the ball over three times.

EWU was penalized 12 times.

The only thing that impressed me was holding their RBs to 79 yards on the ground, but they only carried the ball 17 times because they got down so quickly.

Don't get me wrong, you played well, but it didn't impress me as much as it did everybody else. You beat a good team at home, nothing to sneeze at. But if you play at the exact level you played EWU at, we won't be as sloppy as EWU and the game won't be close.

In Poky, I think the Bengals would have a very good chance to win. In Bozeman, the chances are reduced significantly.

I stand by my earlier prediction : 31-14

What the hell makes you such an expert to throw this out there? Just because we played OSU tough this year you think they must suck right? Let's wait until they go through the Big XII coference schedule before we annoint them the worst Big XII school in history okay Jags?

That's a huge reach. Kentucky will always be inept as long as they have a coach with Oregon Duck lineage. You're saying that OSU, with a recent history that is very successful, would be beat by one of the perennial cellar dwellers of the SEC? Vanderbilt will even smash them this year (they finally have a decent team).

OSU would have Kentucky blown out before the end of the first half if they played.

jag,

If you mean Oregon State University, then I would agree with you.

But I know you don't mean the Beavs; I at least expect you to OCCASIONALLY be an objective football observer. Obviously, you are unable to do so here; your Cat hatred once again is overriding your intellect, limited as it may be.

Oklahoma State (3-0) would EASILY defeat Kentucky (1-3). Check any of the rankings and you'll find OSU in the top 50 and Kentucky in the bottom 30 or so.

http://www.mratings.com/cf/compare.htm

I like this site because it takes EVERY national poll/ranking system and averages them all. Based on this site, OSU currently ranks #43, Kentucky is #91.

NO unbiased football observer would legitimately pick UK over OSU. Nice try and thanks for hatin' the Bobcats!

Being that I am a Kentucky fan I feel I should say something. KENTUCKY FOOTBALL sucks. We got blown out by Indiana. OSU is not that good but I feel pretty sure they would bet my poor Wildcats. MIght not be a bad game though.

As for the score 26-13 MSU

I have been to every Cat game at home and even in Poop-ville Missoula for the last 11 years. Homecoming games never worried me until Kramer got here. ISU is playing well, but I think it is time for the Cats to realize that this is their time if they are ever going to have one again for a while. Lulay wills another victory. Cats 27 ISU 21

ISU is playing with confidence for a young team. They took advantage of great opportunities at home vs EWU. Thier rushing defense appears solid but the pass defense has a lot of holes. Some success rushing the passer but as last weekend EWU was put in a must pass situation most of the last three quarters.

This won't happen at Bobcat Stadium saturday. The ISU field position won't be near what it was and they will be facing a very good defense for a change (even Kentucky D was not that good.) Obviously the Bobcats will have to take care of turnovers and they will create some this game... the passing attack will git their first 300 yard game and we will run for 100... and win 35-20.

I foresee a close game in the first half, but Lulay passes the Cats to a victory in the second half.

I think this may be our first real test of a team that will pass. If our D holds we will win. I have yet to see our offense sparkle and amass the points and yards that everyone seems to be predicting. We will struggle again to score without a running game to get the tough yards.

Final MSU 24 ISU 17

:D I get to go to the game, finally the kids have an open sports weekend :D

Keep in mind that EWU only ran 17 running plays to their running backs. It isn't hard to shut down a run offense when they rarely run it.

ISU 28
MSU 24

The whole thing with grass, outside, spare me, we are just as good on grass, and you are just as good on turf, that doesn't matter... We have a more athletic talented team than you do, and if the game was in Poky, it would'nt be close, but being up there, we will win by a TD or so... Face it, we can do it all. If we have to pass, we'll pass. If we have to run, we'll run. On D we have an excellent front seven. I like your offense, but not enough fire power to light us up for 30+. This will be a great game... Good luck the rest of the way after Saturday...
