Can someone please give me an example of a time in the last 2 or 3 years when the o-line has just lined up and given it to the opponents. As for the exchange on the snaps, whether it is Lulay or Birkeland does anyone really believe that Lulay will be graded poorly for the exchange. He does feel pressure. And even though he is one of the best ever in Bozeman, he has thrown poorly and does miss a lot of receivers. Does anyone remember all the throws to start the season last year and the year before that were high and behind receivers? He is a great one but let's not send him off to Canton just yet! Keep in mind it is never as good as ir seems and it is never as bad as it seems. There are still a lot of games to be played and it should still be a season with playoff games.
The last time our O-line really just manhandled a team was the 2002 Cat-griz game. We never really broke anything longer than 15 yards all game, but Ryan Johnson just steadily got 5 yards every run as we flat out owned the time of possession almost 2-to-1 in that game.

I agree that Travis shouldn't be exempt from criticism, as it seems he often is (especially with Kramer). I'm sure he hears it in the film room, but as they say, it takes two to tango. Ten dropped snaps can't all be Birkeland's fault. Bottom line, whoever lines up at whatever position, whether on offense or defense, just has to step up and get the job done. That is what good teams do.

I pretty much trust the staff to make the correct moves; they've got access to the film and can probably break it down better than anything we get to see, either live or especially on t.v.

Quick comment on the dropped snaps:
Last weekend against Cal Poly they showed a replay after a fumbled snap and Birkland has snapped it into his left thigh; it didn't even look like it touched Lulay's hands. When Travis knows there's a blitz coming he's got to be able to trust the ball will be where it's supposed to be when the snap count finishes (one thing I'd like to see from the offense when a blitz looks like it's coming is to audible into shotgun).
One thing Mr. Quast pointed out earlier is that Birkland has trouble getting the snap to the correct spot when he is reach blocking to his right.
One thing is for sure, we'll all be watching intently this weekend to see how the exchange goes.

Verlanic played center. Did a great job. No fumbles on the snap.

Did Birkeland get any time on the line at another spot?

No...he didn't play at all. It sounded like he was a little banged up.
