Allegiant adding flights to Bay Area

Post by CapitalCityCat » Tue Jan 24, 2012 5:17 pm

Allegiant is adding flights to the Bay Area beginning in April. If anybody is planning on heading down that way, it might be a good time to get in on one of the initial flights. With baggage fees, I imagine a flight could be arranged for under $150.

The airline announced Tuesday it is adding nonstop flights from Billings, Bozeman, Kalispell and Missoula to the Oakland/San Francisco area starting in late April.

Allegiant Air says it will have flights from Billings to Oakland International Airport on Thursdays and Sundays starting on April 26, while its Bozeman, Kalispell and Missoula flights will be on Fridays and Mondays, starting on April 27. Allegiant flies MD-80 jets that seat 150 passengers.

Some initial seats will cost $39.99 each way, including taxes and airport fees.

Retiring my moniker. It's time to ride off into the sunset. It's been a fun ride. Go Cats.

I may just have to have a lot of "boys weekends" with my son in Bozeman next fall!

In addition to this being great for Alumni, I imagine Cheap direct flights to Bozeman to watch your son/daughter play for the cats could also be used as a major selling point for potential recruits and their families from the bay area.
