See, I can use moronic stereotypical innuendo as well. Ain't I clever?

Tell me 'bout the scoreboard, George....
I'll try to answer your questions
1) Liquored,,, I don't drink
2)Double wide. Nope I have a home but I know many nice people who have a manufactured home.
3) Sheep...I like women...who are you in-to?
4) Clever? sometimes you have been... but your a little off today
5) George? Huh?? Don't understand that one.

1st off the behavior I witnessed coming from sec 102 at last years game was appalling. If I saw that coming from G.r.i.z. fans I’d be mortified and embarrassed.
Yea… I know “one time a fan said this to me.” Talk to me when it is a whole section of the stadium. It was a dangerous situation for the players and the visiting fans. If you don’t want to admit there is a problem…ok. But I’ll bad mouth those fans everywhere I go until I see a change.

BAC, I would guess that in your fine city by the bay that there are certain web sites that cater to an alternative life style. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that.) But, let’s say you join a new message board and every time you type “gay” it comes out “ass hopper”
Would you be very happy that you posts are being changed?
So, section 102 created a dangerous situation for players and fans? :? Give me a friggin break, and quit being such a baby. I'm sure we were just on the cusp of an absolute riot. We were inches away from Sunday headlines reading, "Angry mob in Section 102 storms field, killing several Grizzly players, coaches, and fans!" I didn't cry about it when I got spit on, beer thrown on me, and several fight challenges last time I was in Wash\Griz, because I realized that not all Grizzly fans were immature drunks.

Give it up Bronco, as I said earlier, no point in arguing with the "eat sh*t G.rizzlies, go-cats-go" crowd...what is that anyway? Has to be the most stupid and embarassing cheer of all time...it's not even a cheer really, is it??? I love the rivalry and I get it when cat fans yell the "G.riz suck" or "FTG" even but I can't for the life of me understand how you can get a 70 year old woman bobcat fan to yell at the top of her lungs "eat sh*t G.rizzlies, go-cats-go"...makes absolutely no sense to me. :?

I't s the baby boomer's war cry....kind of like... "remember the Maine" (do you?) "Griz s'ck" has no rhythm, FTG sounds too much like Griz fans....soooo "Eat Sh'T Grizzlies Go Cats Go"!

You griz fans are such cry babies. This is a smack talking board and all you are doing is crying about our cheers. Then you say we have a tuff time getting fans because our fans use foul language. Look at the fans in Philly or NYC those guys are way more foul then anything we could even think of they have no trouble getting fans.
Also I have many friends who go to wash/griz stadium and get into fights for just saying bobcats. There is a rivalry here and anger sometimes comes out on both sides. That is what makes it interesting. Stop crying about it and move on.

Ahhh shucks, look at those dang ol' mean grizzie guys with their mean ol' avatars. My fragile ego, which (as with everyone, apparently) is based solely on my favorite football team, must certainly be deeply wounded by such malicious acts of ill will. Shall I ramble on and on with myopic fervor about the level of class inferior to me and everyone I know that these guys display and, by extension, how I now must say and feel bad things about all people whose favorite football is not my own? Or perhaps, should I laugh along with the joke, take it for what it is worth, and go on enjoying my life free of that unnecessary baggage? Gee, that's a tought call....

Well, at least they spelled "State" right. Those meanies....

Bay Area Cat: Let's see, what tone should I take now? (throws dart) Alright, sarcastic condescension and sanctimony!

BAC's Brain: Hey, man, as a board moderator you decided to have an edit that would automatically, and in some cases against the poster's will, change posts so they would call someone juvenile names. After having committed to the BBS equivalent of sitting on a small child's chest and slapping them with their own hand while saying "Stop hitting yourself!", doesn't it seem facile to make a dive for the "I'm much more enlightened and mature" high ground? Won't that damage your credibility further?

BAC: Cred-i-bil-idy? Wha....? (gets miffed) Shut up, brain, or I'll stab you with a Sharpie again! I'm goin with sarcasm and high ground!

Somebody needs to translate this mess for me. :?: :?:

Is this Friz poster saying that being called a friz is really worth this, um, imaginative response? Or is this a case of protesting too much.

If it's the former, I guess these Friz fans are incredibly duplicitous. God forbid you make a joke on them, yet it's open season for them on you.

If it is the latter, please don't change the FRIZ autopost, because if we start talking about reality, such as whooping their tails two on the field two years running, things could get real ugly in here.

Memo to Friz fans - whining about such a petty thing only shows how arrogant you guys are. Try not to take yourselves so seriously.

Oh, and if you guys really want to start some smack talk, let me know, because I've got plenty of ammo saved up for ya'll.

SeeHarg: Sarcastic condescension? Why, yes, that's not a bad club to have in the bag, especially when it's appropriate. I like your stab at the same.

The only question that remains is... how much longer will this whining continue? How many people's posts were butchered beyond repair when that "f" replaced the "g?" How many couldn't figure out how to use the edit function to work around that? Why was anyone using the "g-word" on this site to begin with? Who are the real victims? The real victims were our pals "humor" and "perspective." They are the ones who have been wounded this week, folks, and I only hope they aren't so offended that they don't return, one day, to the dark side of this board. They are already sorely missed.

meat: Your post makes no sense -- if I couldn't handle someone's opinion, I would delete their post (which I don't ever plan to do, but [as my eyes roll back into my head and I howl out an evil laugh], I do have the power). If you guys really want to come to our smack board, talk trash about our site and our fans, and then take offense when you are smacked back with a little sarcasm, then you shouldn't come to this site.

This proves my point. As soon as you don't like someone's post, you'll have no problem deleting it. Typical.

I like how you whine about the G.riz fans and their whining. I don't see any post where a Gri/z fan couldn't handle any smack. They just smacked back and you all freaked. Must go back to the 16 game winning streak. Or, is it that UM is looked at in high reguard among the 1-AA nation and State is another average Joe. "Oh look at us, we've won two in a row. We're CO-champions. All Griz fans are cry babies".

Bring it on!!

meat: Way to quote me out of context (and then extrapolate the misquote to suggest something that direct contradicts what I actually said)... you have a real future in local politics.

The posters in question are whiners, not because they lost 2 in a row (well, maybe that's what is causing it, but that's not what I am basing it upon), but rather because they have been.... whining... about something really insignificant. It's all very simple when you break it down.

Now, before this conversation gets any stupider, I'm going to get back to work for a few minutes.

(Be on the lookout for meat to quote me as having said "stupider, I'm going to get back" and respond by saying that I am threatening to get back at somebody named stupider.)

So SeaHag thinks I wrote this:

Quote:
"People who paint their faces to go to sporting events are gay!"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Um, I didn't write that genius. Don't they teach English at Friz U? Or do you just enjoy libeling people? It seems to be your specialty.

Umm, yeah, SeeHarg... exactly what the hell was that? What were you trying to do, other than lower the level of conversation to a boorish level and put stuff on PapaG that he never posted?

I'm kind of baffled by this one. Please explain.

I think you should stick to your impersonations of my sarcastic condescention (you did that one pretty well) and completely avoid this new-found libeling bigot approach.

BAC - Out of Curiosity

Post by PapaG » Wed Mar 31, 2004 8:22 pm

Exactly when is the line crossed on this board?

If this sort of bigoted and libelous posting is going to be permitted, I'm afraid I won't be contributing to this wonderful website anymore.

SeeHarg's post is beneath anything that ever occurred on the ESPN board. It's gutter smack to the lowest common denominator, and if you want to talk about being offended, well, I'm extremely offended at this smear.

PapaG: That is definitely a deletable post. I honestly thought I wouldn't have to ever do that, but that is clearly unacceptable. I want to hear his explanation, but in the meantime, we don't need that floating around.

NOTE TO THE PREDICTABLE JACKASS POSTS TO FOLLOW:

Yes, we will delete stuff based on content, such as this. When you cross over into any homophobic, racist, etc., areas, especially in the manner this was done where it was put on someone else dishonestly, we have no choice but to censor it. We don't condone that kind of stuff, and neither should you.

Everyone around the conference knows about the huge ego that you have to deal with when it comes to the University. I have more than a garbage bag full of stories about the great fans at W/G.

Hmm, there was the guy who bitched out a work/study concession girl for helping me(in my bobcat hat) before him, even tho there was no question that I was in line ahead of him.

Then there was the guy who was shooting a home movie documentary on friz tailgates (lame in itself), who asked me as I was walking up to the entrance: "Hey, hows it feel beeing a loser walking through a winner's world?"

Or the one about the friz tailgaiters who put all the trash for their entire tailgate party in the back of my dad's truck... unbagged. I suppose it's excusable because my dad does indeed have Bobcat plates on his truck.
Or maybe it's just excusable because you're griz fans, eh?

All those incidents happened just two years ago during C/G '02.

I've been to plenty of non C/G games at W/G where I was pulling for the Griz; and noticed several classless acts by the fans, not to mention your bum mascot.

So, give it a rest Bronco. You're not the only person whose had a bad experience at a game; you're just the only one who won't stop bitching about it. Stop acting like your some sort of fool's martyr, you plastic ahole.
