about as expected. cats shoot 35% from the field. 17% from downtown after throwing up 24 of them. went to the free throw line THREE times and only made one. got outrebounded. out assisted. they stole the ball from us 15 times. we had 20 turnovers. we had more fouls. and we scored 41 points in 40 minutes, and lost by 20 points one more time.

i was hoping the move to bring piepoli off the bench would give us a lift but unfortunately it didn't. and he was 0-4 from deep again. simply outmatched once again and i expect another pretty decisive loss on saturday. but what do i know.... :-^ :kicksrock:

NAU coach get's T'd up contesting the most obvious foul call of the night...when her team was just down six. MSU working on a 4 point play now. This thing's about done! Very bad coaching from NAU there.

Bussey had an awesome second half. Working on about 22-23 points.

And Bussey with her 5th three of the night-all in the second half I think.

Cats gonna win big!

Cats win 80-64. A team that can recover from a bad half and play well...and hit their shots. It's all about belief-this team has got it...the men's team doesn't.

I thought you were just trying to change the subject. Speaking of which I see UNC won and UM lost. Good race for 1st.

Nope, I just lost track of where I was.

But speaking of the men's game: In the era of the shot clock and three pointer they only score 41 points! Seriously? That's just embarrassing. The Golden Bobcats scored more than that with a center jump after every made basket, a running clock, and of course no three pointers or shot clock.

Dear Coach Huse,

Regarding the offense: You're doing it wrong.

If the Bobcat men played against the Bobcat women right now...I wouldn't bet on the men.

THREE of our starters had 2 points. My God that's pathetic.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

Hang on, so it's BAD to shoot 4-24 on 3-pointers while only having 3 free throw attempts for an entire game? Huh, who knew...

Was it really that long ago that MSU was up by 28 over NAU in the second half in Bozeman? Thank goodness for Denarius McGhee, the new football end zone, and surprisingly good women's team this year.

Made me snicker but I tend to think that sacred cows make for tasty steaks. With the travel distance and parity in this league, fear not Bobcat fans. You will win more games this season. It's all about trying to get hot when it counts at the end. For being a rough road team, MSU sure plays well at home.

Wow, I was stunned to see that UM got smoked by WSU....didn't see that coming at all.

Thanks for the words of encouragement, but you obviously didn't see our last home game against UM. We HAD been playing well at home. After the 2nd Cat-Griz game, I predicted that MSU would go only 2-5 in their remaining BSC games, to finish at 7-9, and several people posted that there's no way we wouldn't do better than that. Anyone willing to take the "over" on that prediction now, after the NAU game?

I don't know why, but the team is in total disarray and plays worse every week. I haven't seen these kinds of unforced turnovers since middle school. I haven't seen such miserable free throw shooting since middle school. No one on the team seems to have a clue about defense. There really are no secrets in basketball, the team that executes best will win and the Cats can't seem to execute the basic fundamentals. I don't know if it's a total lack of confidence or what, but they look like a mediocre intramural team that just jacks up 3 pointers.

If it were me, I would play all the young guys more and look toward next year. Obviously, I'm not at practices so I don't know what they work on, but fundamental execution has gotten worse over the season, not better. That is a very, very disturbing sign. Everyone has bad nights shooting, but a team can compensate by playing solidly in the other aspects of the game. A team has no chance, though, if they can't shoot and they can't get to the basket, and they can't shoot free throws, and they can't possess the ball, and they can't rebound, and they can't play defense.

The good news is that the bsc is really crappy this year.
