Another win for MSU WBB
82-70 in Flagstaff over NAU. That's 7 wins in a row now despite all the injuries, and 3-0 in conference so far. Next up is Weber State on Monday night...

They really looked good...Rachel Semansky was a beast inside...had a double double about 23 points and 12 rebounds. Balian, Bussey, and Sidensticker were also in double figures with Cole in double figures in assists!

Re: Another win for MSU WBB
I got a chance to watch the ladies on TV this afternoon (they were on Fox College Sports Pacific, which was 332 in Bozeman or 9411 on Dish. The replay will be on a few times in the next couple of days.) and they did a really nice job again. This has to be one of the most well-conditioned teams I've seen, and everybody seems to contribute quality minutes. I really hope that Binford can find a couple of walk-ons for the rest of the year, but if they have to run with these 8 girls, it's going to be a great run! I want to see how they do on the other end of the road trip at Weber State on Monday night, but I think this team has something special going. And let's face it, they're always better in the second half of conference than the first half, which bodes very well.

GO CATS!
It's always a good day to be a Bobcat fan!

My name is Steve, if you'd like to know.

It will be interesting to see how far this team can go. There is no doubt in my mind that with Banis and Ashley Albert they would have been heavy favorites for a conference championship.
Losing Banis will hurt against teams like UM and Eastern Washington that have strong post play. They are fun to watch though.
Coach Binford finally has the girls playing good defense which I think is the difference this year.

I agree with everything all of you have said. ... this team has gone through everything possible and still keeps ticking.
I was most impressed with the poise, maturity and play of Ausha today. 10 assists, 1 turnover, 1 foul. That's her best statistical PG game to date. They raved about her during the broadcast, but couldn't understand why she wasn't "taking advantage of mismatches" on offense or why she doesn't score. She's not built like that... she's a pass-first point guard, which are ones most people love to watch. A pure point guard is poetry in motion.
Rachel Semansky had career-highs in points (26) and rebounds (13). Tricia Binford joked with me "You haven't asked about Rachel yet" about 5 minutes into the postgame interview. I'll have that interview up with my post-game NAU/pre-game Weber State blog tomorrow.
I'm trying my darndest to come up with enough feature stories for this team down the stretch.
