NFL Combine measurements?

Been watching some draft coverage getting ready for round 1.
Many times they are discussing "arm length" and "hand size".
Does anyone have an idea as to how they measure those? Is arm length from the arm pit to the tip of the middle finger? Hand size - width (pinkie to thumb stretched out) or length (tip of middle finger to base of palm)?

i'm going by memory and it could have changed but i think you nailed them both. hand size is thumb to pinkie. i know this because they were raving about tebows 10 and a half inch hands! i also believe that arm length is arm pit to middle finger. could be wrong though.
