BSC Tournament Seedings Finalized

Post by MSU01 » Sat Feb 27, 2010 10:11 pm

1. WSU
2. UNC
3. MSU
4. UM
5. NAU
6. PSU

First round games are #6 PSU @ #3 MSU, #5 NAU @ #4 UM. 3 seed is big for MSU since they will avoid playing Weber in the semis if they can beat PSU to make it that far.

PSU hosts Weber tomorrow afternoon on Altitude.

The Vikings blasted ISU last night.

I like the matchup between Portland State and MSU. I know that the Cats swept the season series, but they played better against PSU than against NAU. NAU played us tough in Bozeman in December, and I think we all remember how the Cats did in Flagstaff. It's always tough to beat a team three times in a season, but I like how the Bobcats are playing right now. We'll just have to see how it shakes out, but if you can make it, be in the Fieldhouse next week!

NOOOOOOOOO! Don't say that - take it back. The last time I heard that, the Cats lost to UM in the semifinals in 2002.

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

Last time I heard that, it was last year with the Cats and Griz. It worked then. But yes, I don't want to jinx the Cats.

PSU is a scary team and can be very good at times. I think they are the only bsc team this year with a win over a top 25 team.

It was Portland.

Oh crap!

For going through the trouble of beating the griz and moving up to third we get to take on a very hot team. Portland State beat Weber State 84-79 today. Of course the game was utterly meaningless as both teams had secured their spots on Friday, but they looked like they were playing hard to me.

Senior Day for Portland-and they are tough in that little gym.

Bring 'em on-and expect a battle.
