Agreed.
I also saw PF having a few words with the marketing director and I was disappointed in PF to say the least. I have to side with you , and the MD on this one.
Just as an FYI, got an email directly from the MD yesterday following my post and my suspicions on this matter were confirmed as he said that there was no "talking to" from Fields and that in fact he was very supportive surrounding the whole issue. I understand people saw and heard what they did, but just remember when throwing someone under the bus from the comfort of your anonymous message board handle that there is always a lot more to the story and going on than the little snippet you may see or hear.
Thanks for the update from the MD, I was really having trouble lending any credibility to the reports of what PF supposedly did. While I'm far from being a big PF fan I just didn't see that scenario happening.

As for those bitching about the marketing folks throwing out the balls at Cat/griz I commend the folks and hope they keep up the marketing effort. To spare the women and children I won't go into details of what I think should happen to the idiots who threw the balls on the court.
exactly. blaming the marketing department is just stupid. will we blame the people who run concessions when some drunk idiot launches his popcorn on the court? how 'bout the old guys handing out programs? will they get the wrath when some moron throws his at a ref? it's just stupid. any idiot can find anything to throw on the court. bottom line is the marketing guys are leaps and bounds better than they were even 4-5 years ago. as for fields, i'm not his biggest supporter, although i doubted the claims that he was swearing at someone the whole time. :^o

do you have to know everything to post here? or just think you do?

This is the exact same crap that got me so upset earlier... everyone is so quick to be negative. STFU you negative Nancy's! We beat the Fn Griz, lets enjoy it and build on the success...

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? What the hell happened to the Delta I used to know? Where's the spirit? Where's the guts, huh? "Ooh, we're afraid to go with you Bluto, we might get in trouble." Well just kiss my ass from now on! Not me! I'm not gonna take this. Wormer, he's a dead man! Marmalard, dead! Niedermeyer, dead! Whose coming with me?

I think NrthFce was referring to a line in "Animal House" spoken by the late, great John Beluschi...

Yes Truecat... Wow I didn't think it was that unrecognizable... Haha, Michael Bay does suck, but he was only 15 or so when Animal house came out... take it easy on the fella.

I was trying to be bring up something funny yet motivating, cuz I am getting sick of all the negative vibes after coming off such a big win. I get the feeling that some people are so wrapped up in their personal bashing issues that they fail to see improvement, positivity, and direction. I'm finished b/c I'm positive, in fact, I'm HIV positive. :) (maybe someone will see the humor if I quote cartman rather than beluschi...)

Back to Cat/Griz, I think our team learned a lot, gained some motivation, and should continue on to probably win the conference and host the tourney or at least a game for sure....

I too also got an email. What I did not know that Wendy's was the one who provided the balls and was part of the promotion. BTW, I wouldn't just make up what I heard. I may have heard it wrong but we who heard it, know what we heard, even it is out of context. I told Drew what I will tell you all, I will have his back on everything, and I was just concerned for him and what was said to him. That is all. Good day!

I think you don't get it. Sleeping in until 6 won't get many people very far in life, especially if they want to play on Sunday.

Put it on your netflix list, longhorn. You won't regret it ... and you will surely have a whole world of pop culture catch-phrases opened up to you just like I did when I finally saw it.

Well I've seen both Pearl Harbor and Animal House (which I own). Pearl Harbor was a great disappointment. Michael Bay is nothing but visual effects...
