Janning from Northeastern
He is currently on ESPN playing for Northeastern against Siena. He is their best player and is looking very good so far in this game. The announcers were talking about how he only had two scholarship offers. From Northeastern and also Montana State. Were saying its kinda funny cause those schools are about as opposite as can be. One in Boston the other in an agricultural town in the Big Sky State. Said it probably wasn't a tough decision for him. Dude is a flat out player and would've been a huge get for Montana State. Just thought it was interesting since they were talking about MSU.
GO GRIZ!

Re: Janning from Northeastern
Janning definitely was one of those who got away. When he was a senior the word on him was that he was a big scorer from a small school in Minnesota who many questioned if he had the foot speed and quickness to play D-1 ball. He was also thin as a rail. brad saw him and was the first to start recruiting him, then Montana got on board and also started recruiting him after a good performance at an AAU tourney in April. Brad/Sprinkle made an arrangement to have him take an official visit ad Janning tagged on a trip to Missoula at the same time. Also about that time Northeastern had a scholarship unexpectedly come open and they decided to "take a chance" and have him visit right after his Montana trip. he had a great trip their and they offered him, and he chose them.
They were expecting to redshirt him his freshman year and ended up being something like Conference freshman of the year for Northeastern.
I know that Both Montana and Montana as well as Northeastern offered Janning. The kid though, had no scholarship offers in late March if his senior year and three by the end of April.
