After further review... Our QB's are fine young men, great physical abilities, but just can't get a grip on the finer points of being a QB. Like throwing the ball to a reciever who is wide-ass open.

Either something needs to click upstairs for these guys during the spring, or let the Rasmussen era begin.

ugh

Let's see; down one touch and you throw a pick by Jefferson AFTER YOU'VE BEEN SMASHING THEM IN THE MOUTH???????????????

Where the hell did this offensive coordinator come from? Oregon? Play football or get used to this.

I agree with your assessment. Andre Ware made good point on ESPN2. Jack needs to speed it up and throw it away when necessary. He also needs to anticipate people running the routes and getting open. He has a strong arm but he seems to take a long time to read the defense. Bailey's play calling hasn't help Jack out either.

Jordan Rasmussen should be given every chance to be the starter next year.

Looked to me like Jack was scared everytime he took off.

What Andre didn't understand was all the dang wrong routes earlier in the year and Jack getting told to eat the sucker instead of throwing another pick. But enough complaining. Our kids and staff exceeded expectations,; there'll always be next year. See ya'll on the beaches and I'm forced to sit on the opposite side of the dark pink in Choo Choo because of other prior associates this year. Hope you get to Orlando and Tampa and Sanibel this winter. Out.

He was scared to say the least. He would run and end up running backwards more than forward to avoid a hit. This is football and that stuff happens every play so i think he should have went in with the attitude of taking it to the house. He didnt have his best game, but you cant fault him for the terrible O-line effort.

Obvious points to work on:

1. Throw the ball to the open receiver.

2. Throw the damn ball away when there is no one open.

3. Throw the damn ball away when there is no one open.

I thought Rolo played alright (with the exception of the play when he didn't throw it when it is 4th down) especially since he was getting about 0.2 seconds to throw. I think Rolo will be a great QB next year!

Rolovich was aweful today and showed it many times this season. He has his great moments as said many times on this board when given lots of time to throw and he does have a rocket arm. Under pressure his decision making has been aweful. More that of a backup QB not a starter. Hopefully no QB starting job will be handed out and a battle for the job will ensue between Jordan Rasmussen, Carpenter, and Rolovich. Personally I hope Jordan outperforms the other two. Great Year Cats!!!!

I thought Rolovich played fine today. The offensive line did not protect as well as they usually do, and let's be honest, neither Carpenter nor Rolovich is anywhere near the player Lulay was. We got very spoiled the last 4 years. We hung in there with a damn good team well into the second half. Our players and fans should be proud!

What's the difference between you and a mallard with a cold? One's a sick duck. I can't remember how it ends but your mother's a whore.

If Rolo is our QB next year, we have to REALLY improve on the O-line. Jack is good when comfortable in the pocket, but hit him early and he falls apart the rest of the game. Instead of looking downfield, he looks at the rush.

Our tackles both looked awful against speed rushers this year. Think griz game and this one especially.

Enough already. Perhaps the opposing coaches saw something on our offensive linemen we can't accept? How many yards did our running backs get on their own this year? I'd like to place blame on any aspect of our team this year for some of our problems, but given the scholarship limitations, I can't. Our coaching staff did a great job juggling lineups and not burning a single critical redshirt, getting us a first round home victory and putting us in a position of woulda, coulda, shouda. Imagine that if Fullerton was still in Bozo and we had a staff that just wanted to make a positive contribution to their resume.

For whatever reason I'm not mad other than I don't like our offense and what it in turn does to the special teams and defense. Hats off to the defending national champions and our own mistakes and risks falling flat on our faces. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

He ran backwards and cowered like a little sissy half the game. I've thought he was better in previous games but what was up with him today? One thing I don't understand about Rolovich (and maybe this is simple coaching).... Rolo has tunnel vision. He focuses on one (maybe two) receivers every play, and does not have the ability to scan the field. Until he learns to use his peripheral vision, he'll just continue to be a mediocre QB who happens to have a great game now and then.

i guess i'm not too much of a fan of blaming one young man who played hard for the Cats this year - all year (didn't he have to take a shot last week just to play?). no denying, that he had a tough game.

i'm sure Rolo will learn from this game (not from us on this board) and be that much better next season. i look forward to watching him next year.

No S***t...He does fine if he can sit back there and wait for a receiver to get open...but when he's pressured...he waits for someone to get open. He can't throw in rhythm, and he can't anticipate a receiver making a move to get open. IMO in order to play QB in Div 1 you have to be able to do those things. Sure he has a cannon for an arm...but he's got the decision making process and pass pattern recognition of a 70 year old man! I'm not sure if he can get better at this point unless they put him on some sort of X-box game during the off season to work on recognizing when a receiver is open and pulling the trigger. Right now 60% of the throws he makes are after he flushes and has a receiver break their pattern and go deep.

Through out this year i have not seen a truly complete game by either QB. Both have been good at times but neither has been able to put the team on their shoulders. I hope either Jack or Cory can step it up this summer... But personally i would love to see Rasmussen take over at weal! The QB position I think is biggest thing we need to figure out for next year… Jack can be good and has shown that at times, but during others he has been far from impressive.
