Cats are just a nuisance
From this morning's Chronicle:
"If you play your arch-rival in November with the playoffs at stake, it's tough. It becomes an all-or-nothing game for one team. For the other team, it becomes a nuisance game. That's all it is next week for the Grizzlies. They just have to survive this game. Last year, they were 3rd ranked, went on the road and lost and still hosted. They could put their jayvees out there the next two weekends for all they care. They're hosting, no matter what."
"They can talk all they want about this game, but deep in the coaches' minds it's: 'Don't get anyone hurt, don't spill your guts, don't be left with an empty tank for the playoffs."-MSU coach Mike Kramer

Interesting psychological ploy by Kramer. There is some truth to it as well.Eastcoastgriz wrote:From this morning's Chronicle:

Actually it sounds like Kramer is writing a few lines for Bobby's post game interview this Saturday. After the Griz lose, Bobby can say this game was just a nuisance game that the Griz didn't need anyway. I noticed Bobby really wanted to make it clear with his UNC post game interview that the Griz were the Big Sky champions with that victory. That point may seem a little lost when the Cats play spoiler this weekend, even though the Griz will be co-champs.

Or more likely, it's Kramer speaking how he truly feels.Fat Cat wrote:Actually it sounds like Kramer is writing a few lines for Bobby's post game interview this Saturday. Just the style he used before the CU game. Set them up nicely. They were talking of how they would run up the score. Boy, did Kramer do a nice job setting that game up!!! Friz are next!Air_Griz wrote:Kramer sounds like he already knows he's going down. Just trying to soften the landing before the Cats lynch-mob mentality run him out of town for failing to win a single playoff game in 7 years at MSU.
