Maybe the best run ever

The run that Taito had in the second half when Groves had to go out from being a little groggy from a hit was one of the best runs I've ever witnessed.

What an amazing turnaround this kid has made from earlier this year. The will he exhibited and the mental and physical toughness he displayed on that run was impressive.

Great job Isiah!!!!!

Abosolutely.

Also on that drive, Groves had a carry or two that he refused to go down, and he and the line got an extra two or three yards.

The Fizz will have their hands full if the O-Line, Groves, and Taito can continue to push forward like they did in the second half.

I'm not sure how you can say Taito has made a turnaround from earlier this season. While that 10 yard run was fabulous, it was one freaking rush. He can't be counted on even as a 10-15 carry guy.

And after yesterday....Rolovich.

Was anyone else impressed by a couple of his scrambles? He got us a couple of key first downs by just tucking and running. Admittedly, he is pretty slow, but I was happy to see him run a few times.

Yeah, Rolo's scrambles were Lulay-esque. It adds another dimension to the offense. It was kind of puzzling why he stopped scrambling in the second half based on his results in the first half.

1) Are you discounting that his run was a totally different effort from what he was putting in earlier this year? He also ran in a similar capacity in other recent games.

2) What insight are you using to determine he can't be counted on to carry it 10-15 times a game? Are you purely going off of the way he performed earlier this year? If this is your opinion, I can accept that. But, I also disagree with it.

Before the O-line is given too much credit, they haven't exactly blown anyone else up yet. The O-line is okay, not great and not as strong as last year.

I have to agree. Coming into this season, I felt our O-line was going to be the strength of our team with guys like Jensen, Hirst, Birkeland, & Barnhardt returning and throwing Saucedo into the mix. They really haven't performed up to their ability and they are not blowing teams up at the line of scrimmage. Yesterday was a perfect example. Yes, we did run the ball well, but that's because it was our main focus. We had almost forty attempts! But whenever we tried to pass, Rolovich was constantly having to leave the pocket, scramble or force passes earlier than he wanted. Even our 4th down run attempt was pathetic.

Really, I am not trying to be negative. A win is a win and we need to be happy for that. But if anybody came away from yesterday's game feeling positive about that win, then we are in sorry shape for the game two weeks from now. You could even hear the disgust in Coach K's voice yesterday: he talked about how this team is an enigma at home, and was disappointed with some some of our defensive play.

It was a nice run. It reminded me of some of Ryan Johnsons runs. This year Mason had a great TD run against NAU that I think is a rival too.
