My friends from the SEC and Southern Conference have me believing our conference is fixed and until we get the officiating corrected, we're going to be viewed as corrupt...I'm embarrassed to say the least, but at least we were able to score more points today in spite of the Big Sky "officials" who frequently arrive at the Big Sky venues in their vehicles with Fizzlies license plates  Remnants of Butte all over again...
C'mon Grad.....the BSC is pretty even-handed when it comes to screwing up calls. Case in point was our game today against Cal Poly. More than a few of their long receptions today occurred with the receiver with his arm at a 90-degree angle against the defender. He managed to pull in a couple of one-handed catches that way with a defender right there. I'm no referee but it's kind of hard to get away with that w/o offensive PI.

It sounds like the call that pulled back the TD for the Cats was complete and total B.S. But I don't see anything that points to a Griz conspiracy.
Oh f--- you and the horse you rode in on you crooked son of a .....!

Anywhere as long as they let the kids playing the game determine the final score  I'm as embarrassed as I've ever been for a group of adults watching over youth activities and Lord, I pray it's not because our kids are different than the rest of the conference!!!!!

tampa_griz wrote:Not trying to be a prick or throw smack into this discussion.........trust me that it is not my intention.........but wasn't there a questionable call last week in the Weber St/MSU game that, if would've went Weber's way would have helped seal a win for them? Did bad BSC-officiating possibly help the Cats that day?

I didn't see the play here in Florida but McBride was pretty upset about it and made that known.....resulting in a suspension for him. At least you can't blame Kramer for reacting in the press the way he did. He of anyone knows what can happen so I think it was damn smart on his part for saying what he said. In fact in might even be better. Could he have been attempting sarcasism when he said, "Good call"? There wouldn't really be anything the BSC gods could do about it. After all......as far as English goes.....he complimented the BSC officials on a great call. While at the same time he was telling everyone but a bunch of B.S. it was.

Thoughts?
You are right. Weber got jobbed on the call on the fake punt last week and we go seriously jobbed this week. The official that gave that ball to UNC on that play should be suspended for a week. It was as bad if not worse than the calls during the Oklahoma/Oregon game that got that crew suspended.

Fortunately, it did not cost us the game. I don't know that the call against Weber cost them the game either. We got the ball and missed a field goal.

I'm hoping the refs don't try to let the Griz win Cat/Griz with these bad calls...

I just think if they allow challenges like in D1A we would all be ok! It's about time that we do. Today's game and that call on Jefferson was a great example. What does the BSC have to lose? As Nike says "Just do it!"

Just go to BigSkyConference.com and you can leave comments for him! I just did! And I tried to keep it civil!

Puhleaze!!! I was at the game and every time Ramses Barden was down field running a pattern, the Griz defensive backs were all over him like a cheap date. If you don't want to get called for pass interference at least look back for the ball before putting your hands all over the receiver. Also, I find it hard to believe that a 6'6" receiver would have to push off on a much shorter defensive back to make a play on a ball.

But if you really want to see a messed up call look up the definition of forward progress, and then look at where the Griz got the ball on the 4th and 13 play in the 4th quarter. How can the receiver catch the ball, run backwards on his own accord, get tackled behind where he caught it, and then have the ball placed at the location where he caught it?

Now I know why Washington Grizzly is also known as 'Home cookin' call stadium'.

I don't think Barden pushed off at all. Most of the time he just used his freakish size to get his body in position to catch the ball. If you watch most of the balls are just lobbed in there, giving him time to adjust & make the catch. You're right Wilson was all over him but the guy caught every ball thrown his way anyway. The spot on Bagley's catch was too far away for me to tell exactly what happened. I did see CP get away w/some good holds though.

We need to make a push for challenges in D1AA
It's becouse the vast majority of 1AA games are not televised and would have no way to look at instant replay.

The GRIZ, a quarter century of total football dominance over the cats.

Also, on these KPAX and other local broadcasts utilizing the high school cameraman, the cameraman would be searching for the play one way while the actual play would be happening on the opposite end of the field, so there really wouldn't be a whole lot to review.

That, and the lighting would suck and the shot probably wouldn't be in focus.

I guess I disagree here. Jefferson came down with the ball solely and a split second later the defender came in. At that point, though, it doesn't matter. It was already a touchdown.

RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!

Now you know what the Cats have been putting up with all these years. The Griz are the luckest team in the conference and they get ever call their way. I was watching that play and the TV annoucers were dismaded with the spot of ball.

I was trying to watch both games yestereday. I saw the touchdown and thought that should be the winning td for the Cats. I switched over to the Griz came and when I came back, I saw the Cats intercept the ball only for it to be called back. What the f^^^. What happened to 7 points and why was that not a turnover.

I totally missed the play. I was with my children yesterday and one of them had asked me a question on the play.

Somone else please take us through that play?
