Looks like fun! The best thing is, by limiting it to BobcatNation members we can avoid what happens in almost all Tourney pools, that of course being that the winner ends up being someone's wife/girlfriend who hasn't watched a college basketball game all season and makes their picks based mainly on team colors and nicknames.

You know what, I don't buy into all this UNC talk. This "Play-in winner" school I've never heard of before must be pretty damn good if they're going to be in the tourney.

Okay, the teams are entered and we are ready to take entries!

To submit your bracket go to http://www.bobcatnation.com/bracket/bracket.php

To view brackets that have been submitted as well as results once the tourney gets underway go to http://www.bobcatnation.com/bracket/standings.php You will also be taken to this page after submitting your bracket.

Hopefully there will be no probems for anyway in using the bracket submission page. A couple of notes and known issues for users:

1. The page has been tested on IE 5.5, IE 6.0 and Firefox 1.0 and is generally working on these. You will need to have at least IE 5.0 or higher or a recent version of Mozilla/Firefox, though only the previously mentioned have actually been tested. I am not a Mac user, so I have no idea whether the page will work with Safari or not.

2. You will need to have cookies and javascript enable to use the page.

3. It is recommended that you have a resolution of at least 1024x768. The page should work at lesser resolutions, but may be difficult to use.

4. Two known issues: On IE 6.0, the bracket is being displayed wider than it should for some reason. My apologies, but users of this version may have a bit of horizontal scrolling to submit their entries. On Firefox, sometimes when loading the bracket some of the bracket lines are not showing up. All teams load and the page is fully functional, but you may not be able to see some of the bracket lines. If you can't understand the bracket without the lines, reload the page until all lines show, they should eventually show up.

If anyone has any further problems please either post them in here or send me and instant message and I will try to get it fixed as quickly as possible.

Have fun everyone!

We should have Kramer join the pool. Apparently if you're a football coach and get caught gambling, you can win up to $4.5 Million.

I like it! Get K to join, collect the $4.5 million, and donate it to pay off the debt and start the stadium remodel!

ANNOUNCEMENT--WE NOW HAVE A PRIZE FOR THE WINNER!!

Our gracious Griz poster Cat-Theotherwhitemeat has graciously offered an item from his business as a prize for the winner of the Bracket Challenge. In case you haven't seen his site, go to http://www.monsandlacus.com/ to see the very nice log furniture and gifts that CTOWM sells. For the contest CTOWM has offered up the set of four log candles that can be seen by going to the site, clicking "Gifts" on the left, then clicking the "Log Candles" link. A great thanks to CTOWM for his generous offer to donate the prize.

Okay, so I know what you are thinking, what am I going to do with Log Candles, right? But in reality, this is the perfect prize. Guys, win this and give it to your wife/sig. other and immediately be forgiven for the hundreds of dollars you lost in other bracket pools and the hours you spent at the bar watching tourney games instead of hanging out with her. This here is gold folks, gold. But in all seriousness, it is a very nice prize and it is nice to have generous contributors like CTOWM as a part of BobcatNation. So for those that haven't entered yet, get your brackets in for a chance at this great prize!

Staff at BobcatNation.com(myself, Bay Area Cat, and rtb) as well as CTOWM will participate in the challenge, however will not be eligible for the prize. Should any of us win the contest, the next highest eligible entry will win. Upon the completion of the contest, we will contact the winner via board private message and email(based on email address you have entered in your profile so please update if it is incorrect). Once we have a shipping address, CTOWM will ship the prize directly to the winner.

I will update the rules in the original post to reflect these changes. If anyone has any questions please post them here or send me a private message.
