Very true and lets face it most parents are living through their kids now days. Its sad that parenting is so pathetic. Most parents wouldnt get a "scholly" to play at an NAIA program or ju co................classic case of wanting to be your kids friend and not a parent.

When my 2 oldest played high school soccer and they had an issue with how they were playing or even playing time, we made them talk to the coach. We stayed out of it. Turned out better for our kids to open that line of communication, something they will have when the get in the work force. The thing that made me sick were the parents that had their noses so far up the coaches asses it made me sick.

Having officiated high school basketball for ten years this article is spot on.
