I see that the Brewery connected to Town and Country across from the field house opened last week. Has anyone been? How were their beers and the selection? I always like checking out local breweries. My favorite around here is the Madison River in Belgrade!

I didn't know it opened. I might stop by later tonight or tomorrow.

If there's any wireless, might be a good choice for drafting (and draughting)

I'll have to check it out. I'd totally be down for that.

Beer was good. I really liked their IPA, thought their porter tasted more like a really dark amber, it's a smooth beer but not a lot to it.

Pizza is very good, as was the rest of their food. Unfortunately it seems like they already ran out of beer (way to go Bozeman!), so they'll only be open Thursday-Sunday for a while. I would recommend going though, nice atmosphere, good beer and good food. I could see it hurting Colombo's business.

So is this a true brewery like Bozeman Brewery and 406 Brewery where they have the dumb rules where the have to close at 8 and can only serve 3 pints? or since they serve food it is more a resturant like ale works? I still don't understand what makes a Brewery a Brewery...Glad to hear the bear and pizza is good!

breweries have to make beer on premises and have regulations on hours and service. Places like ale works buy their beer and have a different license.

Agreed. I went last Saturday and Sunday. Much bigger and nicer inside than I thought it would be (especially compared to Bozone and Madison River). The staff was incredibly nice. They do slices of pizza until 4 or so and even after that a 10 inch pizza is still affordable and really good! Their beer was pretty good, pretty standard brewery beer I felt, but good for the basics. I tried the flights of each of the four on tap so i had their blonde, amber, IPA and porter before having full pints. I wasn't a huge fan of the porter, but that's just my preference in beer, nothing against them. I don't usually care for IPA's but I did like theirs. Our waiter said they were planning on having about 9 or so beers on tap most times so should be plenty of options for people down the road.

We did get told that on Saturday alone they went through 7 barrels of beer (284 pints per barrel is what she said) so they had to shift their hours a little bit to get ahead on beer production. We'll be back Friday after work.

I think it will hurt Specs more than anything. My last several experiences with Specs have been awful, especially when it comes to the actual service so they are going to need to step up and not just rely on being close to campus and getting business.

+1. I feel specs has been going down hill for a few years now. I use to love specs. It is where I bought me first "legal" drink a "few" years ago and where we would go for any sporting event on tv...now, the service is very poor. I will be checking out the Brewery next time I am on that side of town!

Yeah, I think Specs stands the most to lose. I will always be a regular at Specs, but they do need to clean the place up. The place always has a "Specs Smell."

Who cares though, when has a bar that serves liquor in Bozeman ever struggled. Heck, the brewery might even generate more of a Barmuda Triangle effect.

Yes, three beer rule and they close at 8. So, the plan will be. Have three there then go to Specs..

The demand is obviously there... maybe they should increase the prices for a pint of beer!

Yeah that seems like a ton of beer in one day. I am jacked to get back to Bozeman and give this place a try.

Had the privilege of stopping by last weekend. Very nice place with a great staff and good beer (I recommend the IPA). I'm still a die hard specs fan but its nice to do something different every so often.
