Car Color= Favorite Team
It has been an observation of mine that it seems that certain fans buy cars that are the color of their favorite team. I seem to notice it more with griz fans as I see a fair amount of maroon and silver vehicles here in Billings with their griz plates, tail light stickers, paw print on the side etc. I seem some blue vehicles with Cats plates but not a lot. Could have to do with the availability of the color itself from the manufacturers. On a side note I have seen a flat black dodge intrepid with yellow Steelers painted all over it...
Are griz fans overly obsessed with their team?

Re: Car Color= Favorite Team
I will never own a maroon car for two reasons.
1) I've never liked maroon cars and haven't seen one I like.
2) them
That being said I think silver is one of the best car colors possible. I don't choose my car color based on my team.
I like blue, probably would never buy a yellow or gold car, but for the most part I'm going to stick with something between silver and black because they are the best looking colors on a car.

This--that's why I own a maroon suburban. It was the only one with the options, mileage, and price we wanted. I could care less about color with a few exceptions (yellow, green, pink).AlphaGriz1 wrote:My new Camry is silver.................but l didnt buy it for any reason other than options and price

Love this topic, as I might have beeen inclined to have a maroon car, UNTIL I moved back to MT almost 10 years ago. Now, I'd have to think twice on that.
I do have a friend who bought a truck from his brother(auto dealer) and his brother says, "The truck has everything you want except(pause)....it's the WRONG color. What do you mean he says? "Dude, it's maroon!". Long story short, my friend bought the truck and immediately got vanity plates that say "CAT FANS" and several stickers, so his allegiance couldn't be questioned

I owned an electric blue car in college, and I hated it. But the MSU decal in the window did look nice
I also owned a maroon van because it was the one that suited our needs. The Bobcat blue and gold license plate cover and window decal didn't look so good in it

I don't ever refer to my car as being maroon, for obvious reasons, and it really isn't...it's actually sort of a dark red or deep red. That's my story anyway, and I'm sticking to it. Other people call it maroon sometimes though, and I'm always quick to point out that they're incorrect. It does have Bobcat plates and a Bobcat Club license plate frame, lest there be any confusion regarding my allegiance. It was exactly what I was looking for in terms of model, options, price, et al., and color wasn't a huge factor in my buying decision, although I actually do like the color because it's sort of a unique shade of red.
On a semi-related note, which version of MSU plates do you prefer? I currently have the "Bobcat Country" plates, but I think I actually like the "Go Cats" plates better. I might go back to those when I renew my registration, now that they're available again.

I will purposely avoid maroon. Not gonna happen. I don't care if you gave it to me. It would be painted a different color before I drove it.
