this is really the topic. boring as can be. but i'm just asking for feedback on what you guys think the best place in town to get a set of tires is. i bought a car in early october that already had snow tires on so i need to look for a different set for spring/summer. seems like we have a tire place on every corner so if there is one you guys swear by let me know. thanks.
and yes i realize this is probably the worst topic for a thread this year so far....

I had the same thing happen with me when I bought my car last year. Had snow tires on it as well. I went to Big O Tires on 7th. They were really professional and I liked the guys working there.

I"ve always had great service from the firestone on 7th. I haven't had the need to buy tires for the last few years, partially due to them and their care. It also seems like costco does some smoking deals if you are a member

We take all our trucks to Eagle tire on Wallace. They have been great.

I also bought from Eagle several years ago (five ish). They were good people then from what I remember.

If you go to Big-O, know what you're talking about. I have heard numerous stories of them trying to swindle customers. That and I wasn't all too impressed with their attitudes when I have gone in in the past. Just my experience.
Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

If you're willing to make the short drive over to Livingston, I know a couple of places that will treat you very well. I've known the owners of All-Service Tire since I was a kid (the Fairchild family); they're good people. Their shop isn't the biggest or the cleanest, but Terry will treat you right. Also, Yellowstone Country has some of the lowest prices around, and they have good quality tires. We got a set of 245 75-R16 Firestone directional studded snow tires for a GMC Yukon a couple years ago for a great price (maybe $130 apiece?). Anywhere else they would have been upwards of $150 apiece, PLUS a $20/tire studding fee.

FWIW, I used to use Tire World, and always thought they were trustworthy. Now I use Tire-Rama, and they have pretty good service, like free flat repair and rotations and such.

Have never bought tires in Bozeman, but I use Tire-Rama here in Helena. Always treated right, and I like the fact they have about forty locations in Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, & Washington. I do a lot of traveling and it's good to know that there is a Tire-Rama in most cities I go to if I have troubles.

There isn't a better place than Interwest Tires in Belgrade. It's worth the drive...I guarantee it.

You can add my name to the Tire Rama fan club as well. I've been buying my tires there for quite a few years here in GF, and have been very satisfied. They have 3 shops here in GF, and I've dealt with 2 of the 3, and have had good experiences with both of them.

I had my timing go out just north of Helena. Towed to Tire-Rama. They charged me for four new spark plugs they didn't install. After they did the timing and water pump, my car now burns coolant and oil. I don't know if that is their fault, but it hadn't happened before. I felt like they knew I was stranded and took advantage of me.
