This would be awesome in Bobcat Stadium

With the news that Pearl Jam is playing Missoula again, my mind started thinking about Bozeman. Wouldn't it be awesome to have a huge (20,000 plus in attendance) stadium concert in Bobcat Stadium?
The band could be set up in front of the scoreboard, with the big screen used as a live broadcast of the show (like most big venues do), the field surface could be used as festival seating, and virtually all of the stands would be good seats. You could fit a LOT of people in there, and it would be an amazing venue for a large show or music festival.
Someday ... someday.

It would be much more convenient for me to go to Pearl Jam at the stadium than Missoula.
However, just think of all the noiseshed complaints!!!!

PJ appears to be partnering with Tester. I may donate $10 to the campaign just to have an opportunity for On-State seats.

And then Griz fans could say, "You're copying us!". You know, like when you guys decided to get lights and then we decided to get them?

Anyone get tickets?
I logged in right at 10am, but never was able to get though the "virtual waiting room".
It should be an awesome show. I'd love to see Meatloaf as the opening act.

Terrible analogy given how Jeff's music teacher lost his fingers...

I got fanclub tickets and was able to get two extras through the public on sale this morning. Tickets sold out pretty damn fast this morning. Should be a fun show!

If you're down on the field, make sure you spit on the griz logo for me.

The Rehberg/Tester debate scheduled for Whitefish this weekend was cancelled, due to the fact that Rehberg has a scheduling conflict. I read in the paper this morning that Tester's campaign is offering 2 free tickets to the first person who provides accurate information on where Rehberg actually will be during the time when the debate was scheduled.

I think Rehberg will be still running from me.....Gawd, I wish I had a video. Was waiting for the shuttle train at the Mpls-StPaul Airport and Mr. Rehberg (Denny, at the time) was the only other guy waiting there with me. Made pleasant small talk and he was all talkative then, about the time the train shows up and the doors open, I wanted to run an idea by him, so I prefaced it with "I got an idea on how to raise some revenue, but it might label you a renegade amongst republicans.." He looked at me quizically, and as soon as I said "I think we could raise taxes..." he threw his phone up against his ear, saying "I gotta take this" and jumped out of the train car just barely missing getting pinched between the closing doors. The phone never rang and I was close enough I would have heard it vibrate as well. Plus, there were only 2 others on the train car and they were at the far end, so he would not have been bothering anyone. Anyway, the thought I wanted to run by him was - Maybe we could raise capital gains taxes when people sell stocks of Foreign Based Companies, thereby encouraging investment in US based companies. Still would like to finish my conversation with Denny....
Anyway, I had to start laughing as he ran away and I thought this is how politicians react when their advisors aren't there to coach them.
