This looks like a beautiful run! Just thought I'd share in case anyone is interested, it's the second annual - I didn't even know they had one.

The Frank Newman Marathon is a great run also. Sadly this year it will be a memorial run for Frank but it is a great race. Three bucks and you get to race and have a lunch at the end. It will be this Saturday so try and be there if you can still sign up!

24th Frank Newman Marathon and Relay, 26.2 miles, 8:00 AM, Bridger Canyon Rd, Half marathon will start later on top of Bozeman Pass.

I won't make that one either. But I guess any run in Bozeman sounds great because that sounds fun too!

I watched an entire, televised NYC marathon once. Ditto.

I don't think that counts as the same thing!

It was emotionally and physically exhausting because I was bored to death and made 3 times the amount of trips to the fridge than I normally would in a 2-hour period. :)

By mile 22 I had no feeling below my waist, and may or may not have soiled myself. After crossing the finish line I shotgunned a beer...that decision may have actually been worse than running the marathon.

I'm not laughing....but I really am! I can't imagine running that far. I've done the half 3 times now and each time reaffirms that I have no desire to try a full! But my friend that runs the full was telling me about running beside a guy that needed an Oops I Crapped My Pants. Wonder if she saw you

I'm envious of anyone that can complete a marathon, or even a half-marathon. I was not genetically blessed to run that far, let alone run a block. I've edited my bucket list several times to include a marathon, but keep erasing it. Maybe I should use a pen?

I figure I've probably run the equivalent of 3 marathons in my life, mainly in gym class, and in increments of one mile (or less) at a time. I'm currently working on my fourth, and should be completing it shortly after chasing little kids around on a daily basis.

Baby steps! (pun intended!!) Start with a 5K. Then a 10K. After my fist 10K I swore I'd never run a race longer than a 5K again!! I've now sworn I'd never run another half three times.....but I love to run "just a 10K" You CAN do it, it just takes training. And the feeling of accomplishment it worth it!

Good luck! I know another MSU alum that's supposed to be running it, she ran the full here in Fargo last weekend and she wasn't sure she could keep her plan to run in CDA.

You know the first guy who ran a marathon collapsed and died immediately afterward, right?
