But isn’t that why we love watching cycling…there’s always statements being made and little digs being put in. Clearly UAE was not going to burn their matches on this stage. I found in fascinating that Quinn Simmons didn’t get any help from the guy he was riding with when Healy was only 1 min up the road. Those two could have easily caught him IF they both were pulling. I knew as the time went up that Simmons wasn’t getting any help from the other guy. He tried to gap him once that I saw but didn’t quite have the legs to hold it. At any rate, they rode a nice race and it was good to see Simmons put his nose in the wind.Common Cat wrote: ↑Thu Jul 10, 2025 2:02 pmYeah it was weird to see Pogacar sprint at the end when they were clearly giving the yellow away. Probably Visma messing with UAE and forcing Tadej to respond.BelgradeBobcat wrote: ↑Thu Jul 10, 2025 11:29 amEF get's their stage win. Good for them! Vander Poel back in yellow (very temporary)

Actually my first thought was that I think Cavendish’s record probably will be broken by Tadej. Hope Almeida is ok. Jonas looked strong.catsrback76 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 11, 2025 10:24 amFun stage…interesting results and are there “questions” following?![]()

I imagine Tadej breaks every record including Armstrong's "unofficial" 7 tour wins. I feel like he's holding back just so the rest of the field doesn't look too foolish.Common Cat wrote: ↑Fri Jul 11, 2025 12:34 pmActually my first thought was that I think Cavendish’s record probably will be broken by Tadej. Re: Tour De France 2025
I felt like Pogacar rode a very intelligent stage. He didn’t burn too many matches and was very efficient. Clearly Jonas is strong enough to hang, but I don’t know if he has the head and legs to beat Pog…even for a stage win. We are up for a sprinter stage today, so the storyline on Bini G will show if he’s on form this year.BelgradeBobcat wrote: ↑Fri Jul 11, 2025 2:36 pmI imagine Tadej breaks every record including Armstrong's "unofficial" 7 tour wins. I haven’t seen today’s stage yet, but Binni better get on it. Today and tomorrow are the last sprint stages. Take advantage of having Phillipsen gone.catsrback76 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 12, 2025 4:37 amI felt like Pogacar rode a very intelligent stage. He didn’t burn too many matches and was very efficient. Apparently first Italian win since 2019. Binni no where to be seen.

The last Italian sprinter I can remember was Super Mario Cippolini. This kid, Milan, is a lot different, but way too good looking. It's just not fair.Common Cat wrote: ↑Sat Jul 12, 2025 6:49 pmApparently first Italian win since 2019. Binni no where to be seen.

Yeah, he’s not anywhere close to last years form. Maybe that confrontation on the second day is in his head. At any rate he’s not going to get green.Common Cat wrote: ↑Sat Jul 12, 2025 6:49 pmApparently first Italian win since 2019. Binni no where to be seen.

Re: Tour De France 2025
Question to you all. Do you think Visma is holding Kuss back to unleash him in the mountains against UAE?
