New Router Help

Post by BearCat » Mon Mar 24, 2014 1:46 pm

Hey all -

Was hoping I could get some advice on a new router. Have no idea what I'm looking at when i go the store and see N, AC, G, etc. 900, 1200, 1450, etc.

I guess what I'm looking for is an upgrade from my old $25 Linsys Walmart special.

I would like to be able to easily stream videos to a couple of different devices, run a tablet, and such....sometimes at the same time.

The house we just bought is 2800sq ft and I would like to be able to get net everywhere if possible.

Any suggestions on what to get?

Thanks!

Sincerely, Avid Griz & Bobcat Fan!

Spend 90 or bucks on a Netgear N600 or N900. If you want a router with gigabit speed you can get their 1450AC. If you're willing to spend around $150 or so I recommend an Asus router.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.
