Solar/wind power in MT?

Post by SonomaCat » Wed Sep 19, 2012 3:12 pm

Has anybody worked with any good MT-based companies that do solar and/or wind power installations? I constantly see companies advertising solar installs (specifically, those with leasing options that remove the huge up-front cost to the consumer), but whenever I follow up on those they never include MT as a territory they service. So if anyone has some suggestions for somebody who does cover MT, I'd love to look into what they offer.

I'd also love to hear about any price-practical fuel-cell options for a small business (using natural gas) if they currently exist.

Chris Borton who lives at/owns and manages Sage Mountain Center in Butte has vast knowledge of wind/solar power. Northwestern energy hires him to put on seminars etc. he would be able to point you in the right direction. Sorry I don't have the number but google sage mountain in butte and you will find it.

Ask the Hoots. The colony near Harlowton installed a few wind turbines about 5 years ago (though I think they were used).

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

You want to go through a dealer. They are given credits by Northwestern to pass onto the customers however they want.

Maybe Obama could dump a couple hundred billion in Montana so solar can prove once again what Solyndra..........................never mind the people that get it.......get it and the people that dont will reelect the fraud.
