The last photo in that gallery is one of the most emotional photos I've seen in a long time. Both loving and terrifying at the same time.

Yes, after seeing that picture I think I was a bit off on my understanding of where the accident occurred. Looks like it was right near where the road tops out coming out of the Judith River valley.

I lost a classmate in an accident at the Judith River bridge when we were in between 6th & 7th grades. He and his mother were killed and his brother and sister ended up in the hospital.

Now that I think about it, that is 7 Dentonites who have been killed in one 5 mile stretch of the road near the Deerfield Colony.

Wow. It's crazy to think that the an overseas press outlet would report that story.

This type of tragety would be devastating to any family but unless you come from one of these small towns it is hard to understand how close everyone is. A tragety like this hurts the whole town and has been stated before in this thread, it effects an entire region of the state. I still remember the kids I played against in sports from other towns in our conference. It is part of your extended family. I did not know these kids or there familys; in fact I don't know anyone from Denton but I still feel terrible today. It makes me sad and also angry. I go from being pissed to being just numb. You want to know why and yet you don't want to know why. I struggle with what I should be doing to help and I realize how little I can help. Almost anyone who comes from one of these towns knows this feeling. It happens way to often!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a good article, too bad they screwed up the month (June)- otherwise well done.

Truly a sad accident. About ten years ago I hired a young lady from Denton part time while she was attending MSU. Over the years I've had many contracts where I stayed in small towns around Montana- most down to earth folks you can find.

Not sure if anyone heard but the town of Denton lost 2 more great young men to another accident last Sunday morning. I knew one quite well. Please say a prayer for these families.

Reminds me of when 3 students and a teacher from Manhattan Christian died several years ago in a car wreck. There was a lot of community support that eventually led to a new gym. Incredibly sad deal. Words can't express the sorrow I feel for the families in Denton...such a terrible feeling.
