Where to watch Furman game in Vegas?

Post by Devlan » Mon Nov 20, 2006 11:33 am

Dear Cats,

My beautiful wife and I are going to Las Vegas (where we were married) this Thanksgiving weekend for our 7th aniversary. We are very excited, as we are leaving our three kids behind with my sister-in-law for 5 nights. Unfortunately, our long standing "date" in Vegas means my family must miss our first home Bobcat game in 5 years (since returning to Bozeman). Not only that, we must miss the Bobcat's first home playoff game in 20+ years.

My co-workers keep asking if we are going to change our Vegas plans so we can make the game? Answer: NO. Although Bobcat football is high on my priority list, my wife comes first.

However, that doesn't mean we can't squeeze some time in to watch the game on Saturday. Hence, this post: Are there any good "BOBCAT" bars in Vegas where we can watch the game?

We're working on TV coverage in Las Vegas right now. The default location is Torrey Pines Pub. It's primarily a Griz bar, but the owner will show both games if there's not a satellite/cable feed conflict. Otherwise, I'll be working with the Torrey Pines owner to find an alternate site.

Keep watching this thread. When I know, I'll post it.

Oh come on Devlan, what kind of loving wife wouldn't understand her pecking order in the grand scheme of things. Not even a chance she won't let you come to Bozeman on Saturday? (don't let her know I said this!)

Update: As of this time, the Sports Information Office at MSU says there will be no television coverage. There will be, supposedly, streaming video from BigSkyTV.org.

Hang on and watch this thread, just in case something changes.

Also, keep an eye on this thread

The game is only on Big Sky TV.

Torrey Pines Pub cannot handle video streaming at this time, so there will be no official get together there.

We're basically stuck with internet: Big Sky TV or audio only.

For the former, go to http://www.sportscastnetwork.com/bigskytv/content1.htm#

For the latter, go to http://www.xlcountry.com/pages/xlbobcat ... cle=311253
