BOZEMAN, Montana – Montana State men’s tennis player Max Relic parlayed a perfect weekend into Big Sky Conference Player of the Week honors, the league announced Wednesday.
A sophomore from London, Relic won both his singles matches and both his doubles contests without dropping a set as Montana State opened its season with wins over UC Riverside and Seattle. Playing at the No. 1 singles spot Relic topped UC Riverside’s Joshua Roth 6-2, 6-1 on Friday, then beat Seattle’s Julian Worn 6-4, 6-4 on Sunday. Even changing doubles partners didn’t slow him down. He teamed with Andras Necz to win 6-4 over Roth and Justin Lamy at No. 1 doubles on Friday, then joined Andre Stewart to down Veselin Kiselkov and Jun Sasagawa of Seattle 6-4 on Sunday.
Relic and the Bobcats return to action on January 27 in a home doubleheader against Whitworth.

Thanks for posting. It's worth keeping a close eye on tennis and Women's golf for this year's Brawl Series. If the Bobcats win all 6 points the T&F/XC and um wins Football and all 4 basketball points, both schools will be at 7 points (VB split). If basketball can earn even one point out of four, I can't imagine um sweeping everything else. If the Cats earn two points in basketball then it's already over for this year.

Max Relic from London sounds more like a James Bond villain than a tennis player. Congrats to him and nice start for the team!
For Brawl of the Wild, MSU should be favored to take the golf point as they return all five players from the team that finished 2nd in the Big Sky last year (UM was 9th). I'm less familiar with the tennis programs and who should be better there.
