Lady Cat volleyball just beat PSU in a tough 5 set match! Way to go Ladies nice way to celebrate senior day for the one and only senior on the team! It was also the last home match for this season. Next match is in Missoula against the Gris Friday night with a point in the brawl of the wild series up for grabs.
Ladies showed a lot of grit last night. PSU was at match point in that 4th set and the Cats fought back to take it away, carrying that momentum to set 5. Kira Thomsen was on fire and had the game of her career.

I loved every minute of last night's match. Certainly much better entertainment than the gris game. Massive game against the gris this week and important for the Main Line and seeding in the tournament. The gris have been on a roll, but now so are we. Should be epic.

Friday at 7pm ESPN+.

Appreciated the update guys and wished I could have been there! It was a busy Bobcat day….I made part of WBB game, had to scurry home because we had people coming for a watch party for FB game, I had good intentions of making it back to VB game but for some reason there was “excessive celebration” at the house and one too many beverages.

It was great to see Kaycee O’Dell on Cat Chat this week. Nice young lady and our only graduating senior. No slouch in the classroom either earning a degree in Cell Biology and Neuroscience! Some people may not remember she suffered a season ending injury as a sophomore and made it back to finish her career as a Bobcat.

I know from comments that there were higher expectations for the season this year but with all that has happened I am proud to see the team finish like this. We had the early season injuries or absence of Kira Thompson and Emma Pence and of course a coaching change. Some people forget that we lost four seniors from last years squad (Hannah Scott, Allie Lynch, Libby Christensen, and Emma West) and Hannah Scott was a perennial All Big Sky contributor. We are young on the court and the best is in front of us. I was at one contest (May have been first Gris meeting) and I looked at the lineups for the two teams. The opponents were starting 3 seniors, 2 juniors and a sophomore and the Bobcats were starting 3 freshmen, 2 sophomores and a junior…huge difference in experience. We’ve got the last two GPOY from Montana on the team and they are contributing well on this young squad.

I like to see this strong finish. Now go get the Gris next Friday!

Tough match last night against the gris. We were flat outplayed, but not in a bad way. The gris were just better.

Ladies look to be a lock for the #6 spot in the conference, unless Idaho State can beat both us and the gris next week. First round of the tourney could be against any one of any one of four teams, including the gris.

Hope we are peaking just in time for the tournament.

While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."

What an amazing comeback 3-2 win for the team last night! Our ladies have grit! Given how many times this season they have gone on long runs late in a set to win, they now deserve the “Cardiac Cats” monicker. They have won 2 in a row, 4 of their last 5, 7 of their last 10. They are going into the tourney with some “mo!”

Looks like Portland State is first up. We have gone 1-1 with them.

Volleyball tonight, first round against Weber, 7:00 Mountain. We beat them two weeks ago in straight sets. Time for a repeat.

Incredible win tonight! Great team effort! Emma Pence was on the bench in street clothes and Kaycee O’Dell stepped up big in the middle.

Excuse my extreme ignorance. Why is the tournament in Ogden? Is it pre-determined?

Yes, the regular season champion gets to host the next year's tournament. So the 2023 tournament will be in Greeley.

Okay that makes sense. They used to do that in men's basketball back in the 80's for a few years.

Tom Schultz pointed this out on Twitter. Watch the lady in the 5th row above the "V" when the point is scored. She just disappears!
