Cat/gris Hockey

Got the privilege of watching the Cat/gris hockey game in Missoula today. Last time these two met, the gris won 9-1. Tonight was a much, much better game. gris snuck it out 4-2. Was tied 2-2 going into the 3rd. Cats goalie Charlie Hinchey played an outstanding game. Wasn’t the outcome we wanted, but it was a dang fun game. The Missoula Ice Rink was packed to the rafters. Hope college hockey in Montana can keep this momentum.

I will openly admit to having casually mentioned to Leon how once the IPF is done and track and field can move in there we could build a smaller dedicated BBall arena and then the fieldhouse becomes a perfect hockey arena. #dreambig

I think the rematch games are in Bozeman this weekend.

It’ll be interesting to see how this game goes. The gris were definitely the bigger, faster, deeper team. But MSU was very pesky and gritty in the last game. Go Cats!!

Also, MSU has a D2 team and a D3 team. The D2 team is better, and I don't believe they have played UM yet. Last time the D2 team played UM, MSU won 7-2.

1100 will be the max attendance, the games are expected to sell out.

I thought that was the D2 team before….but looks like you’re right! That was the D3 team I watched. They competed very well against the gris that night.

They beat Weber handily last night and did the same thing to BYU. From the picts I saw on IG the arena they played at in Ogden was beautiful. Looked like it was used in the 2002 Olympics. Bringing home some nice hardware
