I've noticed on Facebook that MSU Hockey has been posting up announcements of new recruits almost looks like that it is more than a club team. This was from one of the coaches:
I’m definitely excited about the potential this team has- a solid core of returning players, incoming Jr.A & AAA recruits, and a common goal of becoming a nationally-competitive program. Things are looking great for this program & I’m excited to join the team!

The next home game is October 26 at 7:00p.m. at Haynes Pavilion (at the Fairgrounds). We have a solid team and fantastic coaches. If you want to see some fun, hard hitting hockey, I encourage everyone to go support our Cats on the ice!

The MSU hockey team couldn't make the drive south due to bad roads and the pass being closed. So Allegiant foot the bill to get them down to Tempe. Pretty cool.

Cats win 4-2. I watched the last period and the defense and goal tending were great!

We play Boise State at 10 AM. Not much time for rest.

I have never watched a live game on Facebook before. Of course, they only had a single camera and some shots were pixelated, but they didn’t have that annoying signal drop that Pluto is notorious for.

Cats win Cats win!!!! Game winner with .7 left 5-4 over the top seed Boise! They were down 4-1 starting the 3rd period. Crazy

It looks like they have the "M" logo on the front and the Cat logo on the shoulders so I would say yes.
