Anyone else hear them mention us being #7 in the country for FT%... against us? Yep. Sounds about right...

14-7 for fouls yet the same number of FTs... That probably tells you something about this team...

Writing this with 8’ left in the game. Cats getting the crap beat out of them.
This loss is on Logie. He didn’t have his guys ready to play in the biggest moment.

The offense completely fell apart and he didn’t do jack about it. Call some set plays, do something different instead of just letting them play iso ball everytime down the floor.

The defense got absolutely punked. They switch everything on D and he just let PSU pull the rim protectors out of the key and expose them every time down the floor.

His team still can’t rebound the basketball. Getting outrebounded 22-40 at this point. Allowing too many 2nd chance points

Can we please work on free throw shooting!?!

And then he has the stones to get the technical at literally the worst moment. His team is fighting for momentum and hands PSU 2 extra free throws, the ball again, and takes all the energy out of a potential run.

With all that being said, the refs were taking advantage of Portlands lax drug laws and were definitely on something tonight. Absolutely awful officiating.
Onto Sac st. Can’t go 0-2

Well, if there's any bright side to this one the results of all the other games went MSU's way and they're still somehow tied for 5th. I have no intention of watching a single second of this disaster, so no comment other than that. Thank goodness for the women's team that can have an off night and still win by 30.

MSU was picked to win the big sky as I recall. I was hoping we might build some momentum heading into the tournament but I saw no sign of that happening tonight

Cats did not have a lead versus the gris or the Vikings.

I had hoped that this team despite the record would find its groove and get some momentum going into Boise and it just hasn't happened. I feel it's going to be a one and done for a team that was picked by many to win the conference. I watched the women last night and then went to bed and I think that's my mode for the tourney. They just have never put it together and while I can't ding the effort, the ability to rise above and win definitely isn't there. I hope this isn't a return to the mediocrity that plagued MSU MBB for so many years. The last few years were fun.

This years team is just pretty bad. I've tried to watch most of the games with some hope but the players are just not exciting and they show very little emotion or even seem to care. True the NIL and big coaching changes have killed our most recent success but unless Coach goes out and "tries" to bring in some talent who actually wants to win we are back to being a mid .500 team.

We just don’t have enough dawgs on this team. I like Logie’s attitude and approach to team building. However, it appears he still has to learn some things in reference to playing division one basketball. You HAVE to recruit and develop guys who will PLAY DEFENSE and REBOUND. That is the absolute toughness factor that we saw under Sprinkle’s teams. Without Robert Ford and Sam Lecholat, we wouldn’t have seen that toughness last year either. Honestly I am concerned about losing Sam. Where will ANY toughness come from next year?

That first sentence! Completely agree as do many others here. @Desert_Bobcat laid this loss on Logie. I might agree to some degree, however, when the ball is tipped it's up to the players to put the, as Logie said in post game "spirit, focus, prep, and determination", into action. Once again the Cats got punched in the mouth and only a couple of them were able to handle the heat. It's become very evident in watching game play and listening to players in their comments in the media, some of them are hyper focused on "what they can do" and not realizing what they can't do! As evidenced by the amount of times our ball handlers drove into traffic and turned the ball over trying to force it. Walker, for as much as he does just that, driving into traffic, seems to be strong enough to handle most of the contact going to the rim. Logie, in his pregame comments, noted that they would have to see the pressure and be able to give up the ball to an open player instead of trying to dribble into the trees.

The amount of isolation actions this team plays limits our ability for others to be consistently involved in the offense. Seems that is a common week to week theme. The Cats aren't a bad team. It just seems they've kidded themselves into believing that they are one cohesive unit and the perceived oneness will get them to the finish line. @saintcat40 hit it on the head. They don't have enough dawgs willing to go to the mat for each other.

Here's hoping for a major rebound on Saturday!

I just hope Logie learns from this year and gets some guys that can and are willing to play down low. I'm flabbergasted that Kolly hasn't been on the floor more. Duka is a great hustle guy but he just doesn't have the body to play the post in the BSC. Really the only guys getting it done are Sam(who's undersized as well) and Brandon(who can't stay on the court or play both ends consistently). Feels like Max was a big swing and a miss.

Logie’s message to the team post game …. “Garbage in, garbage out.”

We could really use a 6’10” to 7’0” big man with a few skills. I know they are hard to come by - but that doesn’t eliminate the need.
