At the under 12 timeout were tied at 15. Zephyr and Agbonkpolo are both likely out for the half with two fouls each.

Goracke with two threes. Good to see. And McMahon just stays solid. Struggling on the glass.

Size advantage Portland. If we want to rebound, we need to hustle and get after it. I remember Logie saying early on, if we make it there's no need for a rebound. Always bugged me a bit to be honest.

Aggrees. I don't think that's the way to think about it. They are pretty big. Do you think that's why we're having terrible defending without fouling?

At the heart of it it’s an identity issue. Logie is an offensive minded coach. Its reflected in his team.

We're only -2 on the glass at half. I'm guessing it's much worse on the offensive boards.

Not really, down 7-6 on offensive rebounds. Seems worse than that!

Logie should be livid at these refs, letting PSU play physical but calling everything against the Bobcats. Apparently it's fine to shove a guy out of bounds but only if you're wearing green.

It really does! I'll be dsmned though - we're plus 1 at the under 16 time out and even at the first time out of the 2nd half. They must have more 2nd chance points. Anyone know?

Are we watching Pat McMahon become 2025's version of Robert Ford in 2024?

Oh he is. He's working them nonstop - as he should be. It's real bad.

Kind of looks like it! And how about Jed Miller? He's really improved this season!

What a huge steal and two free throws by Sam there.

Man, these guys need to learn how to close out games. Just about lost it down the stretch.

That did not need to be a one point margin of victory, but we'll take it! Back to .500 in conference play after starting 1-4 and you can see the improvement every game they play. The Bobcats are only 1/2 game behind third place. Tough road trip to NAU and UNC next week though.

Patrick with another career performance. He continues to rise his floor and be the playmaker to the basket the Cats needed. He’s also doing an incredible job helping clean up the glass
Jed is starting to become a great point guard off the bench and is an incredible passer. That 3 he bit from the wing after sizing up his defender was colddd.
Sam is the heart and soul of this team. His motor and his physicality go unmatched by any other player on this roster. Coming up clutch with 4 blocks and a couple critical steals down the stretch goes to show that scoring the basketball isn’t the only requirement to be on the floor. And he has the basketball IQ to toss the ball straight in the air on the final inbound to kill the rest of the clock.
Things are starting to look up and we’re finally seeing this team play as a team and to their potential. Still a lot of work to do closing games, but being .500 halfway through conference play is incredibly advantageous going into the last month of the regular season.

Portland State's press is formidable. They were probably too tired to do it very long, but when they sprung it on us we were a disaster. Miller got picked twice, Patterson had it taken away from him, I don't know what Agbonkpolo was doing on the baseline. Geez. Good thing Sam somewhat uncharacteristically hit his free throws. Anyway it was just enough. First win against somebody ahead of us in the standings.
Goracke hit a couple of threes. If we can get him going, along with the vast improvement of McMahon and Miller, this team will be pretty hard to deal with. Hope we don't lose too much ground on the tough road trip next week.
