MBB vs red chickens

Cats are rolling with 5:46 left in regulation. Walker threw an alley oop too high for McMahon, who passed it back to Walker, who made a nice layin.laying. One of the crybaby eastern players slammed the ball down and for Td up.

Is anyone else seeing just a little bit of "Logie ball" these past two games?

Okay, now it's straight up Logie ball. Cats got back to back dunks off back to back turnovers and are up by 17 at the under 4 media time out.

Wow, 30 minutes for Jed Miller tonight off the bench. You have to be impressed with how he has stuck it out and kept working when he barely played for most of last year. Logie is a hell of a coach to keep these guys motivated and improving despite facing significant adversity at times. I think we're going to be in for a fun ride the rest of the way. Cats are up to 6th in the standings after this win which is very important for conference tournament seeding so you avoid the first round.

Tyler Patterson missed his first ever game-on the bench in street clothes with a sling on his left arm. Goracke got the start, but Jed Miller probably got the most additional minutes just like he did in the second half in Ogden. Both Miller and McMahon are playing very well lately and making the difference in turning those close losses into the comfortable wins. Brandon Walker was a beast tonight-EWU couldn't deal with him. Agbonkpolo also had a really good all-around game. Mullins needs to be more "shot ready" as Binford says all the time. He bricked a couple of wide open threes because he wasn't set to shoot them.

What is wrong with Tyler Patterson's arm?

Patterson has a sprained shoulder - I think he’ll be back in about a week or so.

It was cool having John Stockton at the Brick last night watching his son. Not often you see a Hall of Famer in town. American basketball royalty.

Interesting story there. John Stockton's daughter Lindsay played for the MSU women's team and right before her senior season (2015-16) one of the assistant coaches left the team unexpectedly shortly before the season began. Coach Binford called John and he agreed to come in and be an assistant coach for the Bobcats for that one year. Worked out pretty well as MSU won the regular season conference title which at the time was their first since the 2002-2003 season.

John is pretty active in the youth basketball here in Spokane. Ran into him on Friday night as my son’s game was about to start. He was coaching a team.

Every time I watch I'm impressed with Miller with the caveat that I didn't watch much before conference games started. McMahon has been impressive these last couple of games.
From what I have seen lately I like the lineup of Walker, Ogbonkpolo, Goracke, McMahon and Miller. When we're facing a full court press it's nice to have the option of having both Zephir and Miller on the floor.
And is it wishful thinking or is Walker actually getting better at kicking the ball back out when he doesn't have the shot?

I saw that there was a Stockton in the floor and wondered if that was a relation. Very cool!

I don't think it's just you. I thought he did a better job of that last night.

Logie mentioned in the post-game interview that Walker has been making better decisions lately, so the coaches have also noticed the same thing that we are seeing!

Patterson has a sprained shoulder - I think he’ll be back in about a week or so.
Thanks lv2hoop. Your info is always appreciated and can pretty much be counted on to be accurate.
In my opinion you as an involved parent do it right which can't always be easy. I'm sure I speak for lots of Cat fans when I say that it's awesome to see Patrick healthy, playing well and really coming into his own this year. He deserves it for the difficulty he's gone through and the fact that he's stuck to it.

Thanks for kind words Joe!! I’m excited to see how our guys perform on Saturday in Missoula, that is going to be a fun one.
