This game is hard to watch. Hopefully it is just nerves and it's hard to start conference play on the road.. cuz I am struggling to keep watching.. Cats are down 29-23 with 1 minute to go in the first half.

Yikes…

First time I’ve really watched them this year…..

they are in desperate need of a point guard, someone to lead/guide/inspire the team …. Any chance we can trade for a PG mid season? Ha

It’s almost like Logie hasn’t figured out which group will play well together. No rhythm or teamwork.

Looks a lot like last year's team but Logie to his credit had it figured out by March. The problem of course is there's no Robert Ford on this year's team unless someone steps up in a big way over the next two months!

A rudderless ship.
It’s very obvious the lineups the coaches are using aren’t working. With as big a roster as this is there is no reason to be getting punked by potatoes.
There has been next to zero energy on the floor and it’s a direct representation of the energy I see from the coaching staff on the bench.

I miss Sprinkle’s energy and his ability to show that he gives a ‘darn’ on the sideline

I wonder if our team has been hit with a stomach bug or something.. No Lecholat or Zephir.

Is Sam Lecholat hurt?

Haven’t seen him out there…. Nobody plays harder then that guy, could use his energy.

Brandon Walker might be the worst free throw shooter I’ve ever seen…

Hard not to.. but McMahon is showing some nice aggression. And Jed is getting lots of playing time.

It’s better with Walker on the bench. Chika is able to set screens and help move the ball around. It’s not a coincidence the comebacks have come with Chika on the floor and Walker on the bench.

Would like to see Jed score more. He’s pesky on defense and a good passer but if he can’t score what are we doing?

We look like I figured, again -
they get little easy transition points. But the half court offense is really bad so far. We need some easy run outs.

This team has a ton of talent but they just don’t play well together on offense. Hopefully they’ll figure it out before the tournament.

I’ve also been wondering where Lecholat is this season. He brings a ton of energy and they seem to be lacking in that department.

Tell me exactly where you see talent? They don’t play well together because they are slow with no penetration, screen to dribble drive to kick is what they are trying to do. It won’t work with out quick guards !

We were picked to win the Big Sky in the preseason polls but right now we just don't look like a team. We have a collection of
individuals. Without a Robert Ford caliber PG on this team I'm not very optimistic about this season, but maybe we will figure it out.
I listened to the coach's comments and he sounded somewhat disgusted. I worry about the team chemistry and leadership in the locker room.
There is a lot of talent on this squad so hopefully we can get it together. We started out slow last year also. The potential for a good season is certainly there.

So I got the wrong score from Alexa before watching the game on delay and spent most of the game thinking we were going to win. Imagine my surprise. Anyway, maybe because I was watching with rose-colored glasses, I saw a lot to build on. Loved McMahon on offense, saw more in Mullins (think he'll be more of an asset in Big Sky), I think it was an off-night for Walker, Lecholat was maybe nursing an injury tonight? I understand the concern about point guard. Someone mentioned how quickness is needed, and Zephyr is quick. I don't know if he can hit from outside consistently, but I think he can create more passes off drives than MIller. I like Miller, but agree that he just hasn't shown the scoring ability. He's a great, scrappy player, but I hope Coach will give Zephry a long look before the tourney.

Yes, Robert Ford III was special, but I think with McMahon and Ogbonkpolo this year's team can be as good as last year's. Maybe even more balanced. MacMahon on offense tonight was eye-opening. But we do need to start getting some W's...

Just caught up and watched the 2nd half. As Logie mentioned in post game, the energy was much better! IMHO that’s not by accident. Having Chika and Jedi in helped a lot!! McMahon always brings it, but last night he was able to control and finish.

This game was totally winnable! At the very least, a few more made FT’s and not making 2 very untimely TO’s late in the game and the Cats win. If they’d started the game w/ the same energy shown in the 2nd, it’s a forgone conclusion. Cats win!

Have to give props to Walker, I saw a massive improvement from him setting hard screens in the 2nd half. Max’s help side defense always has him defending and chasing the ball to the rim. He plays to not foul down low. McMahon, that guy is scrappy!

I’d like to put out a missing persons report for Lecholat and Zypher! Those guys have energy and “blue collar attitude” for days!
