What’s the roadmap to double digit success tonight?

Kinda concerning-the only truly deadly three point shooter we have is Goracke. The rest like to shoot them, but despite being wide open, missed a lot tonight. We are very long. I like Kolly's size and he needs to develop quickly. We won't win enough without a rim protector. Tonight was our only "down" game I believe. All D-1 from here on out. Nothing matters until conference.Desert_Bobcat wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 8:54 pmThis game should be an exhibition before the season starts. The only thing that comes from a playing a team like this is the reinforcement of bad habits.
Cats will shoot a ton of 3’s this year and they have good enough shooters to make it relatively effective. Still only shooting 33% from 3 which will not cut it during conference play.
I’d love to see Logie rep set plays and force them to run an offense in this 2nd half. Force them to play inside out and get more shots from inside the paint. Wouldn’t minds seeing a bunch of different lineup looks too

I remember the Cat-griz game last season here in Bozeman. The griz bigs basically had layup practice and gave the too small sign as they ran to the other end of the court. However in the Big Sky Championship game with Olmstead in there suddenly the griz bigs had to alter their shots or kick it back out. It was also the little tip on a rebound that kept them from getting a put back-it's not just the big dunks and blocked shots. Having that 6'10" big in there just changes things. Thus I really, really hope Kolly can be that guy this season. With our length on the perimeter we should cause a lot of problems for Big Sky teams if we can protect the rim.HighPlainsBobcat wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 11:29 amBelgradeBobcat wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 10:27 pmKinda concerning-the only truly deadly three point shooter we have is Goracke. 3-pt %’s, taken from last year, would show that the Cats have more than just Gorake as a reliable shooter. I’d argue there’s not enough games this year to say, reliably, who’s a solid reliable shooter. Even at that, reliable is game to game. Look at Gorake’s slump last spring!
A rim protector. Lecholat more than proved the last 1/3 of the season and tourney he’s more than capable at protecting the rim w/o fouling. He’s as active or more than Walker or Chika!
Only playing Rutherford 3 minutes is absurd he redshirted last year and only gets 3 minutes in a 60 point blowout ?BelgradeBobcat wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 1:27 pmI remember the Cat-griz game last season here in Bozeman.
