Interesting. I watched a recent interview with him in which he said he did not want to go through the portal hassles again.
Another tweet I saw said in an interview Great said he would take time to feel out portal as well as NBA options but wasn’t entirely ruling out returning (where have I heard that one before).

I hope he does the Dalton Knecht and goes to a bigger school and we can watch him play deep in a tournament run.
I don’t believe that number unless some alumnus of UDub is just pissing away money.
He has zero game outside of 10 feet and yes, he’s a bruiser, but $2 million to go 17-14 in the Big 10 and an NIT appearance? I don’t see it.
Haha you haven't mentioned this in a couple days but I know you're an Oregon fan, and this comes across as a pretty butthurt rival. Like it or not, UW just put itself on the radar of every top recruit in the world. Might not pan out, but guys are going to pick up the phone now when Danny Sprinkle calls.
Yeah they might go 17-14, but you're going to be shocked to know that some people want to try and donate or invest in things to try and make a team or company or product better.

That's awesome, good for him! Life changing money even if he doesn't end up having a career in the NBA.

I suspect this was an old school bidding war that UW was determined not to lose. Good for Great. Take the money and stay with a coach you love at the same time.

Great is a great player, however 2 mill might be overpaying, but hey he got paid. Congrats Great.
