Cal St Northridge Head Coaching job has opened
The UC Northridge coaching job has just opened up. This has Sprinkle written all over it!

Do you get the sense that Sprinkle would rather live in SoCal than Montana if given the chance?

That one is a no-brainer! He has a huge interest in returning to CA. He has served us well if he does take off. If he stays, we will continue to be the lucky ones!

Especially after this winter....whenever it ends.
While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."

It's going to take a bigger fish than Northridge. And he likes So.Cal.

I am told he would proably have to take a pay cut at Northridge if he took the job - plus the program is in really bad shape. If that is the case we might be safe.

If Danny's goal is to be a power 5 head coach someday (and that day should come sooner rather than later) then I'm not sure if a move to Northridge makes much sense. It's a lateral move (maybe a small upgrade) in terms of the conference, and he'll be taking on a major rebuilding project as opposed to a job like Utah State that's a reload of a very well supported and perennially successful program rather than a rebuild. If USU isn't interested then it seems like a better idea to keep winning at MSU for another year or two and keep his name in the discussion as one of the most successful young mid/low-major coaches out there.

Just so some of you know. It's kind of nice being a hour away from your family. No one is getting younger.
